Most likely, as a 9 month assistant, you will be doing the teaching. You'll probably be placed in schools or with classes who have no English teacher. Fun, huh? Actually, the 9 monther in my town two years ago (last year's didn't show) had a great time doing that! And another friend of mine did it for two years and loved it! The ones who were for 7 months and just "assisted" were quite bored most of the time.
Glad you have housing all set!
I had to go to Chicago twice this summer, because I changed my plans for France. Love the town, but it's not very convenient!

Freak! I have no idea why you are trying to make France sound like a hellhole, but you are a crazy person. I am so so jealous that you're near Belgium. I love Belgium.
Also, they're just as vague about what teaching assistants do in America, trust me...
Ok, I am insanely jealous right now. Not only are you getting to live in France for a year, but you got to visit the Harry Potter museum. AND you're going to be living with a Canadian. Bitches AND hoes!
Despite my envy, I'm so excited for you! And I'm so happy you subscribed me to this blog so I can live vicariously through you haha (but seriously...:D)
AHH! FORD ANGLIA! SO JEALOUS! <3 also, HI KATE'S MOM! [and I'm glad to see you will not being living in a cardboard box. I was worried there, for a little bit ;) ]
chen After all the cray-cray memoires de Chen, I forgot that she did indeed purchase capris in Canada. IN WINTER. As much as I now love French Canada, I'll admit that the next time I visit I will most certainly be keeping an eye open for her and her lack of socks/clothing in general. Because you never know when she'll come up to you in the dark and shine a flashlight in your face.
great job indeed! actually i am the boy of this village chapagaun, what so ever u have done for the uday kharka schools willbe rembembred by all the villagers .seeing this site in foreign lan in ukraine is indeed a great all the way!
