Venice to Stansted
Venice to Stansted; sounds like the title for a horror movie. Our trip to Venice didn't have the flooding - but sounds like you still got around OK. Impressed that you found a restaurant that treated you well and didn't run the usual tourist rip-off; and the food sounds excellent. Loved the photos around Venice - some great shots. Then Stansted - watch out for those Essex Boys!

The architecture and culture first hand must be amazing. And the cuisine unreal. You will be so fit and dangerous when you return.

Day 1
Terrific photos. I didn't realise that on high tide the area got flooded, it must be very difficult to get around when its high season. How's the Italian coming along ??

Wow?
Hi Julie-Ann, sounds like you are having a wonderful time. Have you been to Venice before? I imagine you would have. Hope you get on a gondelia with a fellow who serenades you. Quite something - especially when it’s “Waltzing Matilda”. love and hugs, Sue xxx

Hi Sue
Hello Sue, no this is my first time to Venice so we kept pinching ourselves last night. We are just up and planning to go to St Marks Square this morning as it is a sunny day and rain is forecast for the rest of the week. Stay tuned for more photos. xo

Hi Marie-Anne,
Hi there, and a belated Happy Birthday to you. Next is is Rome, the Amalfi Coast and Tuscany so we won't be going to Venice then. However, if the food stays as good as it was last night, I will be back a lot more! Talk about amazing. xo

Names
These places all have such cute names. The Dog and Duck. Clock Cottage. Sounds like your college trip is something like a Harry Potter academy. Animal communication sounds interesting. And useful - can you please practice telling the neighbour's cat to fuck off from my yard? He's taken over and my cats won't go outside :(. Where is your moggy staying while you're away?

Great names
Hi Beetle, yes, names are great. I will talk to you about it when I get back. It could be good practice for me. xo

Good start
Flight environment looks very acceptable. The weather in London looks really good, judging by the photos - hope it stays that way. I'll make my usual comment about British pub lunches where there is a featured glass of red and not a pint of beer (Fullers London Pride should have been the go there). Hope the jet lag clears quickly and that you have a brilliant trip.
