Wow! You have packed so much into your first few days. You have hit the ground literally running. Enjoy your courses. Got your lovely birthday card and my first Christmas Card the other day with gift cards which were much appreciated. Saw the other day only 60 days to Christmas. Gosh! Christmas decorations are all up at the shops and Santa comes next week. Shall have to get organised! Loving all the photos. Luv MA

Don't you love them.

I certainly do. The atmosphere is great and they are so friendly, all the locals know each other and they remember us each time

Loved the old pubs especially the Well House Inn which has so much history. Enjoy your last two weeks. Were you able to access the wedding preview on google? MA

Pub and pub grub
Pub looks good - and food looks like the classic pub fare these days. Notice that the pub was a free house - but you didn't show the beer taps, so I couldn't see what beers are promoted these days! Good to hear you are having a good time - and enjoy the remainder back in Essex. Cheers!

New Forest
As a child I read"Children of the New Forest" and it has remained with me, so I could hardly wait to get there. Unfortunately it is much diminished in size than it was in the time the book was set. How did you find it? xxx

We mainly drove through the forest parts, and no it doesn't seem too big anymore. The moorland areas are interesting and the way the ponies just walk around. One was standing in the middle of the road licking the bonnet of the car that it had brought to a standstill. The driver was just sitting there knowing there was nothing he could do to shift it until it decided to walk on.

Like the bright green countryside and the clear blue water. Better without the sunglasses thank you. Eyes are the mirror of your soul.

Yes, Jean and my mum were cousins, Christine is one of her daughters and Jo is her niece, also my second cousin. Despite the distance, we are extremely close and it feels like home for me here.
