Wow, what a great thing to do Dahna, realise your childhood dream and volunteer at the same time! your butterfly with the blue wings is probably a Morpho - very famous amazonian butterfly. Lucky you. Kinda like seeing a Cairns birdwing (the green one) in Cairns, or the Ulysses (blue one on the pawpaw boxes). XXXClare btw, why is the date stamp on your blog so far ahead??
haha shhhh... that is still to come! (I have not got around to writing up the Pampas tour yet... I should write less I guess, then it would not take so long... :)
Lyers! Hey amigos!
Did you say that you saw pinks dolphins? We want to see the photo with dahna and the pink dolphin....
See you Cusco amigos...great choro trek in your company and very nice libanese dinner.
Great Blog Thankyou both for such an excellent travel account. should be a book or T.V show. What stories we will hear on your return. Keep well and safe. This is my new computer. I have your mum and dad with me. Thank you for your post card.
Lots of luv and hugs

Pacific ocean hi guys!
Where are the photos of you diving into the ocean...
We gonna try to have a swim in hot spring on the desert...
See you in a few weeks or days guys, in l Paz or Sucre for more good time together!
lolo
Beautiful pictures!! The pictures are really beautiful, thanks Dahna and Jono! The grass tufts with tall seed heads look like what is known here as a noxious weed, commonly called pampas grass!! ( I removed seed heads from pampas grass in Vincentia bush a few weeks ago.) I guess the pampas is its natural location; a pittoposporum would be a weed out there. I am VERY glad Dahna did not become a condor condiment! love Mum
Bolivia is waiting for us! It's so nice to see you again and again. Nice to enjoy good diners at the Palenque hostel, nice to enjoy a day in the nature with the "condorito"...and so good to plan treks with you guys. And I hope we gonna keep in touch..you in france and us in Australia....
See you somewhere between Chili, Bolivia and Peru.
up to date again Great to hear you're back in the present tense again. And at a slowed down rate. Interesting you thought Che's kitchen the centre of his early life. Probably was too.
hey Dad You did well translating thei r sit e from you school boy french. Did you notice in the toip corner you can get Google to do the thinking for you? It only does a slightly better job though. :)
i know crazy huh? We both feel sorry for the people that live there though. It could keep erupting thing for months. Maybe years... at least we could leave.
following the adventures Really glad to hear you're away from the ash cloud now.
Checked out the link to Phillipe and Lawrence's website. With my smattering of half remembered school-boy French and a lot of guessing I could follow the parallel trip. Similar pics even. A very ghoslty image there of 2 of you at close up all covered in ash. Did the caption say something like "Would you give us a lift?" ? Hey I've never used 2 question marks together like that before. Is that legal?
Where are the ashes tonight? Hello guys? Did you find a nice warm place for tonight? We are sur you enjoy in a warm and friendly place with some wine and friends.
We miss the moon...Let's check tomorrow, maybe it will be back?!
Se you tomorrow!?
re. lamb roast heya Ev man. Hows it going? Yeah, the lamb was SOOOO good. Jono and I are back on the wagon the wagon now, drinking pisco and cola. Yummmmm. (he is sitting rtight next to me and says we´ll see you in Canada soon... )
yeehar to the lamb spit roast! Hey Guys' Great to hear about your travels. Cochamo sounds so totally adventurous! As challenging as the place sounds its good to see you both left relatively unscathed! The south amercian lamb sounds mouthwatering... no mention of tequilla though..... johno are you on the wagon ?
Stunning Stunning pics guys. You are very brave and adventurous.
Now the front bit of this travel blog entry says there are so many pics and so many words etc. But this time it says there are 2 videos. I can't see where they are. Are there any there?
eeeeee man what awesome fun! what an amazing place... can we come next time too... those flakes, makes Booroomba look like micky mouse land.
glad to hear such happiness'
xx
We both still have ever-itchy feet and woke up in a cold sweat one morning with the realisation that if we did not take advantage of the under 30 (ish) work visa that Canada offers to Australian residents, we would never get to. So here we are over 17 months later, taking the long way home via South America. No need to rush...
Post Script: We are now 4, not 2, and we are no longer under 30! We still have ever-itchy feet but also a mortgage to contend with so for the most part our travels from now on will probably be a little shorter in duration... but they will continue!... full info
