Wait a minute... ...you guys are engaged?! When? I must have been in Serbia - literally! Well big fat congratulations from me and Nick! Sorry I missed the news when it was fresh! Enjoy South America and say Hi to those big heads on Easter Is for me, if you get there! (I don't think you're allowed to climb them!)
Keep in touch!
HD Make up Hi Dahns - thanks for the snow blog!! Snow has sure transformed East St. And I have never heard of HD make-up - but then I am a make up illiterate, so what would I know?? Sorry to hear about the accident with Paul this is a very sad thing. Best of luck with packing up and moving on - will be thinking of you lots over the next few days. Its good that you are escaping from that dangerous Canada place!!
dont leave!!! I cant believe your finally finally leaving... woah... the snow looks rediculous. Considering its high high 30s here... must be fun but. I dont think i could controll myself not to make snowballs constantly.

All smug and cosy or is it cozy? Neither looked right so I checked in the old dictionary and both seem acceptable.
Great to see you all fireside at Xmas and cuddling up in the snow. Or at least Paul and Jane are. I am really pleased to see that you Dans and Jane have kept up an old friendship from way back. I love looking at the pictures of you so happy.
reminder of happy family times around a celebratin table Aaah how wonderful to see you all sitting around that table enjoying each other's company and enjoying fine food and drink. Reminds me of when we were all sitting around with you at the same table when we visited you in Vancouver sharing the local fresh salmon and berries.
We'll have to a skype video cross to you when we have our Xmas day gather around at the Vincentia table. No that won't work. We don't have internet there and also day is night and night is day for us. So maybe we'll have some big pictures of you both at the table and be thinking of you.
Photos You posted some GREAT photos. The sunrise ones were so pretty. Just thought I'd drop a comment and let you know.
Had to rate a few of your photos as a result! Keep blogging...
Cute! I like the idea of ob blogs (observation blogs) as much as travel blogs!!
Prretty amazing abou that little squirrel!!
Our wild bush turkey has taken one of my pot plants - pot and all - to incorporate into his heap! Interesting how wild things are adapting to urban habitats!
Weddings and Such??? Hi Guys! Just doing a lot of catch-up on your blog. It looks like you are still having a blast! Send some rain our way! How fun that your families are visiting. I have to confess that I heard a rumor (yes you guys are still the topic of rumors even half a world away) that you'all are engaged!??!?!?!?!?! Just checking!
Wow. I like your hopscotch game. Sorry to hear about the recycling dilemmas, I wonder how the National Folk Festival deal with it... a generally more hippy crowd?
WOOHOO!!!! Congratulations Nipper and Dahna!!!
That's some happy news you've got there.
P.S. Can you send me back a buffalo in the post? I think it would be a very funny joke to sneak it into Ruley's room when he was asleep one day. Imagine waking up to that after a big night!
Tidying up loose ends.... Hi Dahna and Jono!
CONGRATULATIONS on your engagement, we are delighted by the news and very, very happy about welcoming Jono, and all his wonderful family, into this new and very special connection with all of us. This is the very best news we have heard for a long time!! Mama says this is the first step of her long awaited plan to come true (ie being a Great Grandmother!).
Triffic news too about the Subaru, and even better news about the bits of work Dahns - these sound really interesting and will add good variety to you Canadian experience! I am very confident that you will handle the festival fabulously. Love to you both!!!
heya ev long time no see/hear. u work too much! But yeah, we are doing a fair bit of that too - it just doesn't make for very interesting reading. I just did a 7 day stint of work (and am only getting $11 an hour for it) - if that lessens the envy a little... ?
We both still have ever-itchy feet and woke up in a cold sweat one morning with the realisation that if we did not take advantage of the under 30 (ish) work visa that Canada offers to Australian residents, we would never get to. So here we are over 17 months later, taking the long way home via South America. No need to rush...
Post Script: We are now 4, not 2, and we are no longer under 30! We still have ever-itchy feet but also a mortgage to contend with so for the most part our travels from now on will probably be a little shorter in duration... but they will continue!... full info
