My Geography is improving Hi Jem and Jane, I'm following your blog closely and with interest. I have just spent a happy hour making a list of the places where you have stayed and looking them up in my huge Philip's Atlas of the World. To my surprise I have been able to find them all. Much love , happy travelling, Ruth
Looks Amazing! Hope Mum got back safely. Your blogs are getting better but your beard is not! Shave it off! If I look like Ray Mears you definitely look like his Dad!
Ukraine Glad you made it - and Jane is still smiling. Wish the rest of Ukraine was as peaceful as where you were. Have finally resorted to the Atlas (1974 vintage). You are still on the same page as Antwerp. RMJ-D now connected. Love Mother
Really enjoyed catching up on your blog today after some hand-holding by June who came with Alan for a cup of tea this afternoon. I shall recommend it to Alison and Phil. All good wishes for the next stage. With love, Ruth
Hi Jem and Jane,
nice to see you in Berlin with Marion. It's a shame I wasn'T in the Kanzleramt -epicentre of German democracy and the Iron Lady - by now, also I should have been there more than you. I hope you enjoyed the Berlin night life and I wish you a fantastic journey.
Best wishes
Christian
thinking of you from sunny Cyprus Nick and I are thinking of you both from a gloriously sunny Cyprus. Jem this would probably be your holiday nightmare but for us, for 2 weeks, it is pure bliss! Lol... take care and have fun xx
We herd the good news Ian well done. The geomorphology looks brilliant straight out of Davidsons theory! not sure what the geese are but have you seen any steamer ducks yet. The cowboy hats look good sound like you have had a realy good trek. All the best Paul
Well done Ian! (Postcard from Canterbury) Congrats to Ian from us all, presumably if he had actually worked for it they would have just enrolled him straight onto a PhD...
Love the blog Jem, and don't worry Dan, I would have given the Mate a miss...[Wikipedia definition sounds gross: "The drink has a pungent taste like a cross between green tea and coffee, with hints of tobacco and oak" - yuk...]
Very envious of all the sights and sounds, but who knows we might manage something later in the year - I have an interview next week (!) Interesting times.
See you when you get back
Pete and co
