Yea! This blog came through nice and clear. Great description of your day. When we took the Road to Hana several years ago, it was much improved from the first time we took it. If the foliage wasn't there, you'd see that the road is lar
gely carved on a cliff with ~500 above you and ~500 feet to the ocean below. It's better to have the foliage to obscure that type of view considering how narrow it is. Actually, we thought that the Hana Road was very nice compared to the Kahekili Hwy on the northwest part of Maui from Kapalua to Kahului - that was a honk-at-the-corners and back-up-to-yield-to-the-vehicle-coming-uphill experience. We didn't find it that scenic; that one we definitely won't do again. :)
