The first couple of days in Venice have been a little difficult- it's extremely hot, and yes, Little Miss Workaholic has overslept for two days in a row. I feel a little bad for being so lazy, but it does feel nice to not have to be anywhere until 4:30 when my Italian classes begin. Being alone in Venice has been challenging- the other students are Hungarian and German, and the one other American I can talk to has to catch a train right after classes. Sometimes I find myself walking down the streets, listening for bits of English from Australian, British, and American tourists. I saw so many people in flip-flops, I was sure I wasn't standing out.
