What a way to go out. Sounds fun and warm. We've been shovelling snow nearly every day and ready for a change.
Matt your color looks a little "lobsteresk"! Hope its not as bad as the photo appears.
Sad for you guys that your trip is coming to an end, but for my own (and I'm sure everyone else that has been reading your blog) selfish reasons excited for you to come home! Haley, Tali, and Angus miss you guys too. If you don't want to count down the days until your vacation is over, look at it this way...I think it's only 4 weeks until the urban iditorod! Much love, Danno
Here fishy fishy fishy more great travels. i really dig the portrait of matt holding the fish btw...killer. try not to have too much fun eh?
oh, dont tell matt there are rivers on my island that have trout ;-)
Aaaaaaaaaaa
enjoying your trip blogs!!!!!! Your pictures and comments make it almost like being there myself. I think cemetarys are great places to get a picture of the history of an area, Just to be able to sit among the penguins and observe them-----Wow Take care of each other and have a safe trip home. We will welcome you back Grannie and grandpa
I was wondering if you liked to fish? Sounds like you are doing well down there. Enjoy it before you come back to chilly Portland! We'll keep the lights on for ya.
I thought Penguins needed snow? Hey you two! Do penguins not need snow? They are so adorable. I agree with Erin...you guys should bring one home! Safe travels! *hugs*
Penquins! You both look so happy with those flippered bipeds, even with all that money hanging out of your pockets! Matt, I notice you are considerably less fuzzy now. Sounds like you have a new trivia question for all those cocktail parties you will be attending upon your return...How much does the most expensive walk in the woods cost in So. Am.? I thought it would be colder there but, seeing you in shorts shoots that idea. We look forward to your return and more pics. How cute is a singing penquine?!! I'm surprised Matt wasn't IN the hole with the penquine!!
Love and take care, Mom Marty
Cool---are you bringing one home??? I think that baby would fit in one of th backpack pockets--- Sounds like you are having a great time. It was 11 degrees this morning---the radio station said 6 but I think they were fibbing. Keep updating us and stay safe.
I'm glad you guys are coming home!! That's good news that you guys are coming back! You will be back in time for spring and the weather to be nice again. And, also I just wanted to say that your hair is really long Elyse!! It looks good! Ok, well enjoy the rest of your traveling adventures!! ciao for now!!
Man oh man... Boy am I jealous! I just spent my lunch break catching up on the blogs from the beginning of Dec (I missed a few during SE Asia). Anyyways, sounds like you are having a great time! I cant wait till you guys get back so we can hangout, drink and swap stories!
Bring me a gnome please Just read your latest crazy post. It's been fun traveling vicariously through your blog. Makes Angela and I want to travel too!
With so many opportunities for souvenirs, you have to bring back something cool, like a gnome or an alien, or Nessy droppings or something. Come to think of it, maybe it was a gnome that ran off with your first couple cameras. Or, maybe an alien, and now they have photographic evidence of what you look like. I'm sure they'll be coming back for you, so keep on your guard!
It's a boy!!!!! Maxwell James Browning born January 7th---like they couldn't wait until the 10th!!!!!!! Alll seem to be doing well---I plan to go by tomorrow!
Take care----write or blog!!!! Enquiring minds want to know.
Happy New Years to you both.... I was just showing Kaity Sue your pictures and she loves the one of Elyse holding the "Awful" as she calls them... you'll have to eat one in her honor as "awfuls" are her most favorite food item on this planet.
Have fun in your travels... I love reading all your adventures.
Love you both!
Cheers to Tube No Paddle!!!! Glad to hear the tradition of just floating down the river still applies down there (just like the good ole' Deschutes!)
Miss you guys and enjoy reading your stories!
Happy Belated Birthday Elyse!
Happy New Year Sound like you guys had an awesome time! Andy and I spent New Years in Silver City. While you guys were enjoying hot sumer weather we were freezing, -2 degrees! But the snowshoeing was great! Stay safe!!!
Happy Belated birthday! I'd like to know how many other people could say they spent their 24th birthday hiking around Argentina? Happy Birthday Elyse!Sorry it's two days late! I miss you! Hope you guys are being safe! *hugs*
Happy Birthday Dopey Girl! Hey---Happy Birthday kiddo!!!! I can't believe you are 24 when I am barely older than that myself! Hope you have a good day---make Matt do all the work! Love, Your favorite Mother.....
