Flor de Caña is God's gift to rum lovers Sounds amazing! Glad to hear you haven't kicked Matt to the curb... yet. Angela and I fell in love with Flor de Caña while in Honduras. We were expecting fire water, but turns out to be some of the best rum we've had. We brought a few bottles back home.
Great journal! Hey, it is great to hear that Matt has not fallen off the edge of the world. I am sure the South American fish are very nervous. Loved the journal.
Matt is following the rules---that's a shock. Before you two left, I told Matt that "hospitals were not his friend". Given recent history---I thought the advise was best directed at him. Little did I know that I should have been talking to Elyse!!! Glad you are back to "normal" and don't have fat ankles any more. Note to Elyse, feet biting bugs are not your friends! Sounds like you are having fun---be careful and keep us updated when you can.
PS---we saw Mrs. Mark on Friday. She couldn't believe what you were doing and she REALLY couldn't believe you were old enough to be out of grad school.....
Later---be careful!!!!
Exciting What a wonderful trip you two must be having bug bites and all!!!! Take care of each other and Happy Thanksgiving. Vaya con Dios. love from Florida
WOW.... looks like you are having a great time! AND I've tried flor de cana and understand the wonders that it entails...drink till you pass out and wake good as new in the morning. I'll let Christina know you had some. Im super excited to see some more pics!
are you upsidedown Sounds like a good start. Time for another update as you wander around the southern half of the western hemisphere. Keep on truckin' and livin' the good life.
oysters upon oysters I think you should tally up the total tonage of oysters consumed on your US leg of the trip. It seems that your diet was out of balance...yet delicious. Kudos to you two for sure....onward.
Mud butt? I hope you are staying away from food poising, as that backward toilet thing might be hard to over come! Travel safe my friends, and enjoy your time together! -ACE
adios dos amigos have fun, be safe, blog often with pics. If you run into the folks from amazing race, tell em they don't have anything on you. They get rest stops every 3-4 days. Hopefully, you'll get your every day. enjoy!!!
What Up! Sounds like you two are having a great time! Things are good in Canyon County 44 degrees and droppin'! Keep up the entertaining blogs! Stay safe!
Em and Andy
well wishes dear mathew and elyse Finally fgured out about the blogs!!! Hope your plans are working out. Don't worry about your gear. Everthing is fine! I am sorry about Grandpa's outburst. He is ok now. That is no excuse. Have a good time and let me hear from you. Love Grannie
Hey Carmen--You do the song OK---where are you? Your friends and family are wondering. Hope you are having a wonderful time----any update would be much appreciated!
hehe You two are so silly! And I can't believe you shot a Dove Elyse! I hope you guys have an amazing time out of the country! So far all the pics look like a ton of fun! and I really hope you guys write that book! *Hugs* =)
The good life Man, I'm SOOO happy (and a bit jealous) of your trip so far. And I know that it's only the start of the plans, which means many more good times and adventures to come. The talk of the dove and oysters is making my mouth water like Ozzie's with a milkbone in my hand! Sounds delicious. Keep smiling and keep safe!
bye-bye It sounds like the most amazing trip so far and I'm sure this is only half the fun you'll have! If Matt has to leave clothes behind, make sure he takes his Dillon Aero Gatling Gun, the boys in Scotsdale will want to know they are represented around the world!
Haley gives great hugs and I'm happy to give her another one. Angus misses you guys as well, he's getting huge!
Awesome!! Sounds like you are having an amazing time so far, seeing sites that you normally wouldn't see. Have an awesome time in New Orleans. You should definitely check out the original Cafe Du Monde and have some beignets. It's cute spot they have sugar all over the floor from the french donuts. I don't know if you were planning on going there or not, but try to if you have time.
Checking In Hey, Thanks for the calls. As my friend John Strange use to say, "just think of it as a grad adventure". I got a call from my one of my college buddies and we are going back for my 40th reunion. Sounds like we will be behind you by a week.
PS I think Uncle Greg will be in Florida when you are there. I think he is going the 26th. That sounds like it's about the time you will be there. He is a beach guy, you might like that.
Went hunting with Bruce Weaver. He had a great truch and I really like his wife a lot.
Have fun.

thanks for the update Hi Elyse and Matt,
Thanks for the update. This is my first time participating in an online blog, so looking forward to hearing about your travels. Be safe, that shotgun is a good idea - be careful as you head through the South.
Take care.
Kay
Whoa! Hi Elyse and Matt-- this is really cool that you are doing this trip and stopping at all of the fun sites along the way. How are you able to update the blog with the pics during the trip? Technology blows me away! :) Have a great trip!!
Erin
Hey Sounds like the trip is going well---say Hi to Vania and Vee, Christy, Deven and Ray and Keith if you see them. I walked 7 or 9 holes with Kali and her team---she said to tell you hi! Kay likes what you are doing---I think Ken thinks you are nuts!! :o). I also saw Felicia and had a nice chat with her. You didn't tell me se had a little boy in June!!!!
Well---be careful and have fun!!
