Geo: 39.0997, -94.5786Quebec, Canada ~ Pre-trip In celebration of my college graduation (because it took me so long to finally finish)... we enjoyed a week long trip to Quebec, Canada where this beautiful and amazing French city was celebrating their 400th Anniversary! It was a fantastic trip that I would repeat in a heartbeat! Today we drove to Kansas City to meet our early flight the next morning. On the way to Kansas City is was 108 degrees according to the car thermometer! You could practically see the heat ahead on the highway.... read more

North America » United States » Massachusetts » Boston April 3rd 2006

Geo: 42.3585, -71.0596I spent a week in Boston in the Spring of 2006 ~ work sent me there for training, actually. We spent more time traveling in and around Boston than training ~ walking the downtown area, took a ferry across to another island, took the train to the outskirts, took a gander at the brownstones, ate some fresh seafood, dined at an uppercrust and lovely real Italian restaurant...here and there, and everywhere. Overall....I was unimpressed everywhere. ... read more

North America » United States » Missouri » Springfield January 31st 2005

Geo: 37.209, -93.2916Springfield, Missouri was my home from July 1990 until January 2005 (or 2004??). At the moment, I can't remember what year I moved.... .I just know it was the last week of January and it was a mild winter. Springfield is easy to drive in, an inexpensive place to live in a nice home, and fantastic employment opportunities await those interested in working. Springfield is a clean town, not too big, not too little, and the residents are, in my opinion, almost always friendly! Even though I no longer call Springfield home, I will always love Springfield.... read more

Geo: 18.3083, -78.3333Just wanted to get this on my marker but seriously, Montego Bay, Jamaica was beautiful and Negril was "just okay" but the a**hole I was in Jamaica with was pathetic. Young & Stupid I 'twas! The interesting memories from this trip include the gigantic hole in the wall of the airport when we arrived, the ganja that was freely offered to anyone willing to pay, the natural hot tubs created in the rocks by the water on the east side shore of our resort's beach, and the general extremely slow pace of... well... everything here on this obviously laid-back island.... read more
