OK, after another dreadful night bus, this one being not quite as uncomfortable as the first, we arrived in Bundi and at our hotel at the crack of down. Bundi is a nice little relaxing town, dominated by a large fort, the Taragarh Fort, and the hotels area mostly scattered around a lake. The town is also famously known for being the town which gave Rudyard Kipling the inspiration for Kim. If you haven't read this or neither really know who he is, he wrote The jungle book! We spent the first afternoon catching up on our sleep and cooling off under our fan, as the heat here was unbearable.
