Hi, Lisa! I don't remember how to test if they're leather? If they look like leather, and are soft like leather, that's good enough for me! Oh yeah, if they smell leathery that's a plus too!!!
:) Mom, you are correct about not wanting one of the purses for Christmas! :) Did they show you how to test if its real leather like they did in Tijuana? lol
I told some girls at work today about the free teeth cleaning with the purchase of liquor and we have a pretty good laugh!
Hi, Bev! I knew you'd like the purses!! If we'd been there together, we could have bought several, as it was, I wasn't sure what I would even do with one more purse!
No Red One I had to laugh about the purses. Those open markets are great entertainment, just to walk thru. I was glad to see thatyou found a good use of the triple sink. You must have a lot of hours logged under the influence of paint:) The sun is shining and the ice is gone in MT. Spring is on its way. Love to both of you--Bev
Grapefruit We had two trees on our project site that had grapefruit on them, and nobody ate them because some people can't eat them because of medication, and the rest of us have had enough! Boy, I'm going to come to regret that!
Do you call it obsessive? Fanatical? Anal? (want me to continue?!!)
Wonderful I can't help but salvitate when I look at these grapfruit. I haven't been able to eat grapefruit because it interacts wrong with some of the meds. They look wonderful and I was glad you asked him about still washing the fruit. Now I don't feel so ,,,,,,,hmmm what is it called when it doesn't look dirty but you wash it anyway??
Hi, Lisa! It was crowded like Tijuana, but I don't think the area is quite as big. Don't knock the red purses, I really liked them!!! Can you believe the price, for a soft leather purse? (that's a beautiful color!) So I take it you hope you're not getting one for Christmas!!
Some of those pics remind me of Tijuana! And those purses are REALLY red! Do you get a free pair of sunglasses with them? And Im really glad you didnt get your free teeth cleaning at the liquor store!
Hi, Bev! I've grown up! We later found out the fruit is real, and is donated by a local grower. We are real careful not to look up when we're around the birds!
How are your babies? How's Carrie doing?
Strange The Vicki I know would have gone out and checked to see if the fruit was real. See if you can get those birds to stay in TX for the year. The pictures are a bit scary, they were looking for the right target. Some states they are protected. Enjoy some sunshine for the rest of us!! Love Bev
grackles Hi You Two in warm (maybe) Texas. Those grackles spend the summer in our backyard. Not nearly in the numbers you have seen there (which are sort of like the flocks of starlings up here), but plenty enough. When the grackles return in the spring, they monopolize the bird feeders. Makes me mad because then the really pretty birds that are migrating are chased away. They DO remind me of Hitchcock's movie!
The parade sounds great but I've got the creepy crawlies with all that talk about the birds and their poop!! It would make me want to walk around with an umbrella.
Hi, you! Isn't that the huge question about the time! Do we all calculate that it'll really start 30-45 minutes, late, or is it only going to be 10 minutes late today...we just go on time and wait. And wait. And wait!
Lime juice improves everything!!!
Lime Juice I laughed out loud when I read about all the uses for lime juice that you have found. Because I have been a victim of your, for lack of a better word, "obsession" with using everything, I have only one thing to say, "Sorry, Bob!". I do so miss you guys!
I just have one question about Texas Time, if everyone is coming late how do you know when everyone that is coming is there and you can start?
Hi, Patti! I'll email some pictures of the Burke place. I understood the women to mean that the limes aren't mature until they're yellow, although the Tahitian ones don't turn a full yellow. They have a lot more juice at the mature stage, that's for sure!
tortillas The green tortillas that I have had were made out of spinach! And they were good. Fresh made tortillas, yummy! My friend Francis makes them but I don't think she uses a fancy machine.
We retired the end of 2006, and started traveling the country, working with RVICS~~Roving Volunteers in Christ's Service. (Pronounced R-VICS.) We live and travel in our motor home, and work at Christian camps, schools and conference centers accross the country. RVICS isn't affiliated with one denomination; rather, it's a Christ faith based ministry. We don't travel as a group, but whoever is assigned to a particular project meets up on the beginning date. We're on each project about four weeks.

Thank you!
Where was the volcano? I think that would be interesting!
