Hi, Jean! This has been an incredible year...but maybe I say that every year! We're ready to come home, that's for sure!
PS Is the snow gone? Not that it matters, we're coming anyway!
Hello I think of all the wonderful places you have been this year these rocks and walk-way are the most interesting to me. My kind of place.
You have had a wonderful year, but it is time to come home! Have a save and uneventful trip north.
I miss you and can't wait to here the horn when you pull in to my yard!
Love ya! See you Sooooooooooon!!!!
Jean
Hi, Chris! They aren't dandelions, although they're probably from the same family...they look more like tiny daisies. And I know what you mean by flowers blooming by time rather than temp~~my geranium hung in there all winter....threw out a bloom every once in a while, but wasn't gungho until about three weeks ago, and now it's like a teenager on steriods! It's sooo big, and blooming its silly head off! Nothing's changed but the month!
I put Herb on the subscriber list, but tell him to watch his junk mail, because the filter will pick it up as a mass-mailing, until he identifies it. Thanks for passing it along!
Hang in there, green is coming. I saw it on the news. It's on your way!
just saying Hi Hi! Ya know, even those GREEN cactus look somewhat lush next to what is still outside
our windows. It is interesting to see the things that work on daylight instead of temperature. My lilies are up about two inches and there is still ice and snow.
I wanted to ask if those were dandilions blooming in the cactus park you went to? I noticed little yellow blooms on the ground and wondered. I wonder if there is a big government study somewhere on the nutritional value of dandilions in the diet of--- lizards??
Anyways, as always your Blog is delightful and just so much you it is like visiting. I think you need to write a book about your travels Vicki- if Stienbeck could do it, you can too.
Love, Chris.
PS- I was visiting with Herb Schmierer last week and he was saying (dreaming)he would love to do something like you do when they retire. I forwarded this blog to him but I bet he would love to get your Blog too. hschmierer@richland.org

Hi, Jean! Oh shoot, I picked up a dress at the thrift store, and now I'll have no place to wear it!! The cacti are the trees of Arizona! They're fascinating!
Invitation is here! Hey, I think your Royal Wedding Invitation came here! I didn't recognize the return address so I threw it in the burn barrel thinking it was junk mail! SORRY! I am sure if you call them, they will send out another! Ha! What ever would you wear??
I love all the cacti that you have seen, they certainly are more impressive then the ones we have here in North Dakota, and I bet you see them before you step on them, too!!
Hi, Sara! Well I did touch one this morning, but I did it with the back of my finger. The sticker doesn't hurt as much there! (It was hard, not flimsy!!)
I'll look for the syrup....
Neat pictures! God is so creative!
I laughed when you said you were over touching stuff! It reminded me of when I touched that cactus "just to see" and it hurt and Dad laughed! He's been watching you do that for 3 months!
Bring me some prickly pear syrup, will ya! :)
Hi, Lynn! It was fun to get to know you the other night! Good luck to the both of you now that Brad has grown up! I look forward to the time when we run into each other again!
Happy Travels Hello Vicki and Bob
It was great to meet you both at Gayle's last night. Enjoyed looking at some of your many photos and some of the wonderful work you have done. Maybe our paths will cross again in the RV world.

And that's not all... I was just getting caught up on your blog since our Vegas trip. I was a little surprised to hear you say that I was "afraid" of the crazy Super Bowl people in Vegas...it was more like terrified! I am a true control freek and they by any measure were totally out of control.....and you loved it!! While you watched and laughed, I crawled back into my box and pulled the lid down!! It was a great time, I thought I was pretty educated, but apparently I need to get out more!! Maybe next year, I need time to recoup!
Hi, Loretta! Am I a grown-up in person, or in blog?!! You've spent too much time with me, in person, to think I am! But I'm on my way to growing up...I can feel it! (mostly in my knees.)
Hi, Margo! The show is at the Balley, and you get your tickets go EARLY on show day, because the line to get your name tag takes forever. We had a fun time visiting while we were standing, but don't wait until the last minute. Or even close to the last minute! I would recommend it! We also saw George Wallace, a comedian who is soooo funny! I wanted to go again the next night!
We retired the end of 2006, and started traveling the country, working with RVICS~~Roving Volunteers in Christ's Service. (Pronounced R-VICS.) We live and travel in our motor home, and work at Christian camps, schools and conference centers accross the country. RVICS isn't affiliated with one denomination; rather, it's a Christ faith based ministry. We don't travel as a group, but whoever is assigned to a particular project meets up on the beginning date. We're on each project about four weeks.
