Use of pHOTO Hi there
I am seeking permission to use a photo of a Tas Tiger on your web site. I have written a story to use in schools and would like to post it on the greening Australia web site.
Cheers

Like I was dancing along! Dave- amazing writing...I was grooving along in my chair as I read:) Loved the poetic(s) of this, it felt like spoken word...I am so happy to hear that your adventures have not abated for a moment ...that they continue to "ride on". Thank you for the awesome post!
Like I was dancing along! Delighted Sean & Erin have hopped on the Blues Train and have picked up the vibe and are grooving along. Just reached halfway. Ride on.
When you retire from law... Nice idea Bob but to be a promoter you need heaps of money. There is a Sydney Blues Festival and various others in New South Wales but like live music venues around the world their financial viability depends on "bums on seats" or ticket sales so many do not survive long. The off-shoot of the famous Byron Bay East Coast Bluesfest at Deniliquin (where we saw Bonnie Raitt, Santana, Steve Miller, Status Quo, Jimmy Cliff, Tony Joe White etc) only lasted two years as the promoter felt it wasn't making enough money! I'll be speaking to a promoter I know about Troy Turner. Fingers crossed.
We've been patiently waiting...... Just hope our luck with planes flying through the polar vortex improves or we'll never get there. We'll try our best...but when when we're chasing the blues anything can happen...surprise gig here...serendipity there. Hope we make it...always wanted to get to meet you guys!!!
Wow! As always a pleasure to read your stories my dancing friend! What a wonderful moment in life, getting to meet someone that you hold in such high esteem! Seems like you were truly blessed by the god of blues on this leg of your trip!
Wow! Always a pleasure to receive your comments as well my Swedish friend. There are moments when listening to Blues that touches both Denise's and my soul...makes our skin and somewhere inside tingle with a pleasure I equate with ecstasy. There were moments in our Blues Highway trip that could not have been better. We've been lucky to have found those moments. Hope my blogs have conveyed some of those.
Salient points A wonderful account David - one of the best you have written to date. The best we can do is to take on board the salient points & use them to filter & direct our own walk through life in our own resident country. I very much enjoyed this part of the long trip. It was a time of reflection, observation & enjoyment of the music that we so love.
Segregation... it's everywhere... unfortunately I saw a lot of signs of segregation during my visit to France now and here in Sweden there is also a lot of segregation. IT might now be governed by law but it's no less potent in disrupting society. I wish segregation would end and we'd all be able to live well together without issue. Keep dancing along your enlightened path my friend and spread that light around you, it's glow will keep us all warm. =)
Segregation... it's everywhere... unfortunately Segregation...a polite word for one of the aspects of Racism. Not the "smiley on the beach partying travel" topic Per-Olof but one I feel must be broached as it is so pervasive and affects the smiles of the populous exposed to it, which to my mind is too many. We know it exists in society but that it still exists in schools even if only psychologically shocks me. I appreciate your comments. Sometimes light in dark corners can bring change so any little bit is to mind worthwhile.
Beautiful blog on a tough subject Another excellent blog on a haunting part of the country. Loved the travel style writeup; it matches my own.
Sad as it is to say, school discrimination isn't just limited to Mississippi. It persisted for years after the Brown decision in most Southern states. If you ever make it to Charlotte North Carolina, the incredibly well done Museum of the New South has the whole shameful story (including the sociology research that actually won the Brown case).
Beautiful blog on a tough subject Thanks Ezra. There was also a lot of info at the Civil Rights Museum in Memphis in relation to the school segregation issue as well but as Clarksdale had its own unique issues I had to comment. I wanted to touch on other shocking racial history issues in Clarksdale as well but kept clear as I did not want to distract from the issues I did write about.
Along the Mighty Mississippi My mother grew up in the south and once I tried picking cotton. It is very hard work. But now you are in the heart of the blues. I can feel the excitement. I can feel the beat. Highway 61 was made for the dancing ones. The blues, the blues and more blues....it is a good life.
Grooving to the Blues! Your grooving to the Blues are getting you and Denise to some interesting spots and across some interesting people! So many good stories of life to be found on this trail you're following!
Grooving to the Blues! I cannot properly express in words and pics what an absolute blast we have travelling down the Blues Highway Per-Olof. Hope the blog gives you a taste of the vibe and the music transports you there.
You guys have the best adventures! You just can't have a bad time when you follow the music Rachael. Some of our best adventures have happened because we did just that. Wow...gives me goose bumps just thinking about them!
My wife Denise & I like to travel "on paths less travelled" that capture our imagination, inspire my photography & where we mix with locals & remain safe.
