Fantastic! Fantastic post. Fantastic write-up. Enjoyed the literary descriptions of the fishing, weather, and fun. A perfect end to a great \"staycation\" summer.
Dude, you gotta know when to hold em, know when to fold em'! Sounds like a fun time and I wish that I had been there to unleash a drunken puke on the $100 bill carpet.
You are my hero!
The Germans are not afraid to tell you how things are in America. They are going to let you know that they don't agree with American politics, but, as you say, it should not be taken personally (though it can be a bit hard not to take it that way, especially since they are so blunt).
good Stuff Nice read. I'll be interested in what you think about the people in Berlin. Not nearly as friendly as those in the former Eastern bloc or even down south in Munich. Regardless, sounds like it is off to a good start!
Crazy as ever Drew -
I love your travel blog posts!!
I am just so relieved that you are getting in SOME sightseeing (outside of clubs and as evidenced in the photographs). I mean, you don't have to travel to another continent to party until dawn. Las Vegas is much closer and cheaper. I am also glad you're having a great time.
However, I think your blind business class story is somehow very fishy. I mean, are any airline representatives actually friendly or hospitable these days??? I think not. (Even if you are hot). Fishy, I say!!
Come home soon! I miss my friend.
XOXO!
Kat
Reality check? Mama Gretch glad you are always there for a healthy dose of reality - haha! I decided to save watching Hostel for when I get back so I don't freak out on this trip while staying at hostels. Regarding the "Olivia - Recession" advertisement - I'll have to keep checking that first blog entry to see if that link pops up!
Hope you're having fun in Yellowstone!
If You Can Read This... I am SO wearing sunglasses all the time for my next flight.
Excellent pictures! Those Czech Chicks are way too hot, but remember, they only want you for a green card. Don't believe a word they say! Hope they have Red Bull in Poland!
Any Idea Why... The advertisement right below the Comments is for "Olivia - Recession-buster pricing! Save $1000 on a lesbian cruise. 20 years of all-lesbian vacations!" You clicked the link, didn't you?
Oh Boy You have seen the movie, "Hostel," haven't you? If a couple of very hot Eastern European chicks invite you and your friend to join them at an out-of-the-way hotel, think twice if you enjoy full use of all of your appendages! But have fun anyway!
Czech Disneyland Remember...don't be hung over EVERY day...Prague is the best in the early, early morning hours. After that it becomes worse than Disneyland on a holiday!
Slovakia Don't let Rob take you to Slovakia. He and farmers don't see eye to eye on the placement of feet on train cushions. As a result, he is not welcome to travel in that country. Also, enjoy the ladies. Some of the most beautiful in the world in Eastern Europe.
CONTRA!! Did your Contra training from Sophmore year at UT come in handy? Just remember "Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, (start)" and you'll do fine.
wowza shizam zam! sounds like you guys had quite a lot of semi disturbing incidents, the best part is how the guy who wanted you to die ended up posing in shots w/ yall! i luv that story.
hey hey!! Hey Baby!
Thanks for adding me to your blog. Love reading the posts and seeing the pics. Hope you're still doing well, seeing beautiful sights and taking it (atleast a little bit) easy on your lungs and your liver. Can't wait to read the next post. Wish I were there! See you on June 12 @ Red Rocks.
xoxo

I see what you mean... Ned... Yeah some guy wearing a red bandana bummed a cigarette from us and then when we didn't give him $$$ he walked off mad. Later that day he approached us in the town square and yelled "DIE!!!" at us. Awesome.
What a Hole! I hope your BAC wasn't too high up on the edge of that crater - jeez, one misstep... Glad you're enjoying the local wildlife. I'd watch out for French girls. They're mean.
Still sweating! Getting back to San Sal tonight and getting a proper hotel room to cool off, do some laundry and watch the Nuggets bring it back. Then heading into Nicaragua at 5am. See ya soon! And yes, I am thinking Monte Verde might be a great idea. I'm thinking maybe skip the lake because I am hearing there is no nightlife there.

I'm a 70 year old geezer trying out Blackhawk for the first time this coming November. Fine to read about it. Thanks for the post.
