How to not go crazy... If you have a tennis ball, sit on the floor with your back against the wall, then throw it at the floor towards an adjacent wall, then catch it on the rebound. Do it over and over.
I saw a fellow doing that in a movie and he didn't go crazy at all.
spelling Hughie loves your song very much. He thinks you should show it to George Martin.
Brilliant blogs.
Just one thing about your journey to Zurich.....there will be a huge TUNNLE - I think it should have it's proper spelling though.............. just in case........(tunnel???) or is it a dlibrate misstake?
lots of love

Cinque terre! Hi Clare,
It's already becoming quite a nice ritual to read your daily pieces - please keep going as I love your style of writing! And it's great to follow you on your journey :)
When we were in Italy we hiked 4 out of the 5 cinque terre towns on a day - it was pretty amazing! The coastal views are great, and the tracks are not too touristy if you get up early... There must be a nice uke tune you can write about the area ;) How is the cricket one going? Did you get anything started?

way to go! Sounds great, Clare. I'm happy to hear you've already entered a state of great relaxation....keep going :)
I'm gonna buy a stage piano today, quite exciting too (ok, not compared with an amazing solo tour through Europe, but anyway)!
Lot of love,
Hilke
bonjour! we love your blog, feel as if we are on holiday too! seedy teeth are surely not as bad as spinachy ones, so take heart. buon viaggio in Italia! lots of love from Mub xxxxxxxxx
bon voyage! Hi Clare,
Have a great time on your Europe expedition...in the meantime we will be eating cake and waiting to hear more from you. It's kind of quiet already in the office - why do you think that is? ;)

This is all about my travels on trains (and the odd boat and bus) through Europe with my ukulele... night train episodes, Rocky outcrop serenades, hip flask fueled antics, invisible ICE trains, ukulele cabaret appearances, funiculars and linguistic prowess. The lone traveller tells her tales from France, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Finland, Sweden and Norway.... full info
