Well today i moved to ecografia...basically ultrasound the doctor that works there is so lovely!! he tries so hard to speak english and is pretty good...not so good for my spanish my medical dictionary came in usefull today!! the first patient was a preganant lady having a baby scan...the cord was wrapped around its neck 2ce...not good. but it was so sweet to be able to see the head and the arms and legs and hand and heart beating! then a few people with flu or colds, i looked in their throats and listened to their chests with the stethoscope a man with abdominal pain came in and it was really cool to see all his organs on the screen then a young guy came in with a sore penis. apparently he´d had unprotected sex and ... read more

Well after a reasonably yum lunch of spaghetti with tomato sauce and chicken i got in a taxi and headed of to the plaza In the north western corner of the plaza is a steep little cobbled street and about halfway up...which actually makes me breathless...is a tiny little laundrette dropped of my towel and some tshirts then went back down to the plaza, across the the southern side and up another little hill, across another plaza, i forget the name and then halfway up a little road is an internet cafe i use. im not sure if its the cheapest but its very sweet and cheap for me chatted on skype for 30min with the family it cost me 1.50s which i think is around 25p!! crazyness!! then went and sat in thhe plaza de ... read more

Well i am now recovering from what was apparently salmonella...2ce in one month now....how lucky am i!!?? today at dads suggestion im not going to work incase i give the bug to someone else its really sunny and ive been a bit risky and put shorts on and my legs are already starting to freeze...i am determined to persevere though! well i need to do some laundry today so its either a taxi/bus to the plaza de armas or handwashin in the sink think id rather go up and get it washed and dried for a few soles coz while i can handwash smalls i think my towel is another matter what i have realised this last week is that everyone in peru is short i am tall if not average height here which in england ... read more

Well trisha took me out on a little bus that kept stopping and i almost slid clean off the bench more than once we walked round the plaza de armas and did some laundry and got money and called home glad i had trisha to help me out with everything then we went to a bit of a posher bar and had a pisco sour for 15soles...like $5 or a guess 3pounds ish then a cheaper one for 6soles each then got taxi home tiredness!! so glad to have an elgish speaking friend out on the peruvian town tomorow never realised how many tourists there were till went to the plaza muchos! dins then bed :) maybe a bit of backpacker game hehe xxxxx... read more

well ma´s been badgering me that i dont talk abou the stuff itself enough so here goes my first impression of cuzco was that it was just one massive slum, unlike anything id ever seen before and to be honest there arent many building that are finished and theres just mess everywhere but the more time ive spent here the more i love it the architechture is very odd but its quirky in its own way the streets are messy but there is so much colour and vibrance in strange places it makes you smile for example on the way to/from work i pass this massive house.... ...they have this weird obsession with building multistory houses but only finishing the first 2 floors... ...anyway this big house looked lovely and all tiles and neat at the ... read more
