The Aliens Did It Snow in Texas!!! Maybe you took a little good old british weather with you :). It seems so strange, pictures of snow covered streets and shops in between pics of glaring sun and landscapes. It is nice to see you have already found evidence of the American belief Bigger Is Better. Keep the journey record coming.
wow as always Am uber-jealous LOl.
Have you heard about the severe floods in some part of the USA? Can't remember where (aren't I helpful?) but might be worth avoiding as it looks bad.
How is the driving? Are the cities manageable? I remember Dallas roads as terrifying, but maybe that's just me.
Hope you continue to enjoy your road trip.
Jeepers Creepers Hya. You brave people. Give me the jungle and mountains any day. Spooky motels, deliverance banjo players not to mention psychopathic hitchers. Dont go there!
You must rent out some appropriate dvds while in motel world - Psycho and Vacancy spring to mind. Try it for the ultimate fright.
Love you loads and missing you like mad. Take care of each other! Mumxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Lone Star Quite a good record - the Lone Star one. Anuyway - did u get my note on the booking numbers. We haven't arranged any transport from the airport to the hotel - so don;t know if u would be able to pick us up - Think the flight is VS0023 arriving at 18.45 LA. If you do manage to pick us up -see u in arrivals. If not - we will see you at the hotel - we will get a taxi. Getting excited now - only trouble is - I bet we will be shattered when we arrive. Its a horrible journey made worse because we now HAVE to go through Heathrow - even after requesting Chicago!. U know how I LOVE Heathrow!! Mumxxx
Land of the Lard Ass Trust you two to attract the american crazies lol, although... he could be right :). Wait a second I thought the bed in China was rather comfortable, it was the cats that were bad. I love the hat, did you buy some boots to go with it? try not to lose yourself on the roads and remeber to take plenty of breaks on the long drive.
AMAZING!!! I love the addition of the video clip. I am majorly amazed anyone could get you up that swaying tower. I know you are backpacking there, but i am honestly amazed that you slept in a hut with only a mosquito net for protection especially with all those foreign creepy crawlies and nocturnal animals. Glad you survived the visit. Keep making memories
cool! I can't imagine how you managed to get veggie food - I swear I never saw a thing without meat the whole two weeks there! Well done! Hope you have a great time on the road trip, and enjoy the real beds :-) America is good at comfort!
I have 2 part time jobs starting in April which i will be trying to work around each other . . . chaos. But at least I finally have work (and a staff discount at Pizza Hut . . . might that persuade you to visit Edinburgh when you get back?)
I am NEVER going there! I'm amazed you managed to enjoy it! I'm very glad you did, but I would just have freaked completely. How on earth did you cope? Well done!
Worlds apart Great to hear that you are not only seeing the world but getting fit as well......your Auntie Margaret said she had no problem reaching Machupichu but she did have a bus to sit on!!! Tried to ring you yesterday about 10am your time but as I could not even establish whether I was talking to a hotel receptionist, my attempts in both English and Spanish (numero tres cent doce por favor) proved hopeless. Perhaps once you have battled your way out of the Amazon we can try again.
Trust you will have another adventure in there!!!Love you both,
Simon and Mum XXXX

Experiences. I say again, you write a very engaging and involved blog, with all the details and little comments to make a captivating read. It sounds like an amazing journey filled with unforgettable sights (you actually saw the stars!!!). I'm sorry to read you got altitude sickness, but it is another event that you can talk and laugh about when you get home. Hope the fun continues. Az
stunning That looks like it was absolutely amazing - that's something you'll remember for ever. You must be so fit now!
Good to hear from you again as well, was beginning to wonder if you'd survived. Good luck in the amazon (is that in Brazil, or still in Peru?)
Lima Nice to speak to you earlier today and glad to see that you are both resting. Hope it does not get too hot for you. Bring me back a frog, pity you have another early morning flight but it will be worth it. Love from Dad and Stelxx
*hugs* I hope the rest of Peru improves things, and at least once you get to the USA there won't be any flying for a fair while. That journey sounds truly horrendous. :-(
Safely there Glad you are safely there - even if its after such a long journey - travelling is not much fun. Enjoy your special drinks - hope the juices are brill and can make up for the bad food!!
Love Mumxxxx
you are SO lucky! your photos are a real treat to see. thanks for being so deligant in keeping the story going - it feels like we are there with you sometimes. your mums round, we are having a good time. everyone is OK.

I think I'm turning Japanese Hi Ceri
it's lovely and sunny here! I am sipping my birthday champagne cocktail with the Horrocks's. Have you ironed your ponchos ready for Peru?
It was lovely hearing your voice today, it made my birthday! It also made super subs Friday.
He is off sitting on his arse, not lifting a finger all day - and it's my birthday. what would your advice be?
love Mum xx
WOW!!!! Yea - the Sony showrooms there are wonderful with stairs lighting up etc - they were like that in Singapore! Tell him no use testing the headphones on airplanes - he will spend enough time doing that again soon!! Safe journey - are you running out of memory on your camera cards yet - and do you want any more? Love Mumxxxxxxxx
