Georgie booked us a car to take us to the floating market in Damnoen Saduak. We drove out of the city for about an hour passing salt farms with bags of salt piled by their gates. As we drove further from Bangkok the vegetation was more jungle like. This was to be a totally different experience from when I was here with Chrissie. It was so good to get on the cool, comfortable, air conditioned train to Madrid. We looked out over the golden, sun bleached, landscape and acres of olive groves as we sped by. We took a taxi to Madrid airport. It was a three hour wait before our flight but it passed by quickly. How ever, our 22.05 pm Emirates flight to Dubai seemed a very long flight indeed. We had intended to sleep but not a lot of sleeping was achieved - we were all pretty shattered when we got to Dubai. Then we had to get ... read more
