thanks for viewing and enjoying... ...I'm so glad to hear from someone I DON'T know that has enjoyed the blog. Thanks much for commenting. You are going to LOVE Scavi. A real highlight and I'm so glad you got your reservations early. I am posting posting posting, cause I wrote the blog text each day in a Word document, but during our trip had intermittent web connections, and got overwhelmed by sorting the hundreds of photos. So, I just had to put off some of the later entries until we got home. Naples, Pompeii, Amalfi, Capri are all to come so check back in! And have an amazing time in Italy. It is imperfect but beautiful, gritty but endearing... it is nothing I thought it would be, yet everything I dreamed of. :o)
Great blog! Great travel blog! I'll be in Italy this fall, and the Scavi tour is the one thing I couldn't do last time, as tickets weren't available. I managed to get reservations for this trip, and reading your posts on your tour has been great. And your photos are beautiful. Thanks for sharing your trip!
Nash Hi Brynnie and Timmie!!! I din't know I could post a comment. Nash is a very particular marker-of territory. Have you observed this? Eric thinks it's because Aubrey is a ballerina that Nash is so flexible. He has some great moves.
Driving Love the video, along with the engineer's commentary.
The Parisan driving, cars, and parking is all about the equivalent to what you have experienced. I don't think it's just the Italians, but rather most Europeans. Won't be long until you can by a Smart ForTwo right here in the USA!
Lots of fun Glad you guys are having a good time. Sorry to hear about Roberto. I guess planning something like this is a monumental task. It would be unreasonable to assume every thing is going to go excactly as planned. Besides, it's usually the unplanned things that are the highlight of you trip. Hope Bryns mom is feeling better, and that you are all having a great time (sound like you are).
KEEP QUIET!! Hey,
I hope you enjoyed the farmhouse as much as we did. Reading your blog about the dinner brought back fond memories and tears to my eyes!!!! Don't tell anyone how great this place is, we may never get to book it!!! Save your pennies and come visit us in Sept, we are renting out a couple of the other apts!!!
Keep blogging

Easter Bunny...? No! It's the Easter Boar! Nice to see Tim taking part in the historic tradition of the mythical Boar that steals into the small villages of Italy early on Easter morning and scares the bejeebers out of the bad little children who couldn't stick to their New Year's resolutions...
The weather looks fabulous... Love the misty mountain shots!
Wow! So the italian sausage next to the pork leg looks outstanding.... And the villa looks like something right out of a film. Stunning. Love the rock walls!
Looks like you're still catching up on prior days' blogs, so we're reading them as they trickle in. (Only 6 days behind with this one!) It's nice to finally see how the trip is going, but Tim's coworkers have requested some headshots of you two to go with the fabulous scenery... Keep on enjoying it all!
Tim and I are embarking on probably the most exponentially life-changing journey this month... a trip we have dreamed of and planned for - and just got the chutzpah together to actually make happen - for years. We are intrepid, but typically on a more local scale. This is our journey. We hope you enjoy our musings and share our enthusiasm for the beautiful country we are most fortunate to visit... ITALY. ... full info
