Scott lost his job and, given that I'd soon be off from teaching for the summer, we really had no choice but to take advantage of a summer off together! Scott left a month before me and went to the Philippines, exploring El Nido area and diving Tubataha Reef. Meanwhile, I completed the school year, packed up my classroom for the summer, moved out of our apartment/guesthouse in Solvang, and flew out to Indonesia to meet up with Scott. This trip was focused on diving, from the weird and wonderful muck diving in Lembeh, to the exhilarating dives in Komodo. It was an action-packed and fun-filled summer!

Born to travel

Scott and I have always been travellers at heart. We first met on the beach in Spain in 1995 and had what we thought was "just a holiday romance". We met again briefly a year later in Salzburg, Austria and then a few years later in Hawaii. At the time, I was working in Japan, and Scott was back in California after his two years in Barcelona, Spain.
