Seaside This computer is driving me nuts - it has just rubbed out my comment!! It is behaving like some poor soul with a mental illness! It took me right back to Inbox... Can we expect you home on Thursday,or are you going to spin out your trip until the very last ferry on Friday, and start work at 5:00am on Monday? I can\'t open yesterday\'s blog. Love you, Mum xxxx
The start of a new adventure We suspect you are like many of us on Travel blog that have a constant urge for exploration. Your trip has been grand and we've enjoyed reading along. We too, wish you had that magic ferry and could continue on in Alaska. Thanks for sharing.

We are enjoying your impressions Indeed, not much going on in Ely but sounds like the train was fun, although dirty. Keep traveling! We are an hour north of SF if you want us to buy you dinner.
Dinner / Lunch / Let's just meet! Hey guys, would love to meet you - can you contact us through our personal email at helenmccoll@shaw.ca? Will be in Sacramento tomorrow night (Thursday), leaving Friday morning to head towards CA coast then north towards home. Helen and Ian.
thought we were going to meet in las vegas (winner) Hey guys looks like you are on your way home no las vegas no lethbridge by the way what is my prize anyways....you have had long days I am sure you are ready to be at home anyways Helen re: grand canyon they say it is a very sacride place...so your thoughts are all on track...I have had friends say that is where you find yourself and your emotions... guess you did loves xo talk soon xoxoxo
Ghost Rider You HAVE to read 'Ghost Rider', written by Neil Peart (drummer for RUSH). He rode all over North America on his all-terrain BMW as a therapy after his daughter and wife passed away. Life changing read. He had many, many conversations with himself like you did Helen on Route 50. I can't wait to ride that road and sleep in the desert (in a battened-down tent, to keep the gazillion Tarantulas out) ! Cheers !!
The cows that stand alone. I'm wondering if the cow was asking it self why? Why are there two of these mechanical machines passing me by right now. Have they passed many times before I arrived here on the side of the road, or is this it, and am I the only cow that was lucky enough to see them. I wonder what they think of me as I stand here....... and I bet their family will be happy to see them when they end their journey on the road......
We miss you two. hugs from your sister. xoxo
