Six Weeks in a Tropical Paradise

Having finally reached the end of my three-year overseas working holiday, it was finally time for me to return to my native Australia... though only after stopping off halfway between North America (where I had spent the past year living in Vancouver) and Australia (where my family all live in Brisbane) at a tiny little group of islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean... Hawai'i!

And having been deprived of sunshine for most of the past six months - not to mention the two winters previous in Great Britain - I could think of no better way to recharge the (solar-powered) batteries and shake off my winter blues than with a full six weeks of hiking, cycling, swimming, snorkelling and (body)surfing in one of the world's sunniest destinations. Let the good times roll!
