Another Summer in Europe - from Venice to Paris

Having enjoyed the time of my life on my first backpacking trip through western Europe during the summer of 2008, but having missed out on seeing some of the countries that I had originally hoped to - as well as having failed to find work in Norway at the end of my travels - there was really never any question in my mind as to whether or not I would make it back to Europe the following summer.

And with my 30th birthday falling only three weeks before the start of summer in 2009, I had all the reason I needed to load up the backpack and head on back to Europe (only seven months after I had left) to first spend a week celebrating with three of my dearest friends; before getting down to the real business of finishing the journey that I had started the year before.
