Making America great again I'm intrigued why you chose Iowa as the destination for a USA roadtrip but with supercows and rural Americana it seems like a great choice. Great pics.
So many amazing sites! And of course, I loved this corridor/tunnel one that is so characteristic of you. What a great son to be a tour guide for your mom! Like China, these sites are bigger than life, and so beautiful! I especially liked your story of bribing that guard--I have the feeling that a lot of clever tourists have done this. I'll remember it if I ever get to China!
Beijing You packed so much in for your mother to see in Beijing Ake. Something a good son does I gather. Hope she was not too exhausted to take it all in!!!
I love China I have been to China several times over the years and I love it there. Unfortunately I don't think I will go there again any time soon. In the last couple of years they have increased the price for the visa a lot and now it has become so expensive that it is not worth it. That's a pity but there are close to twohundred other countries in the world I can visit so I don't cry myself to sleep at nights over it. /Ake
We are Emma Holmbro and Ake Dahllof. We live in Stockholm, Sweden.
We have travelled more or less regularly since the mid 1990-ies and it seems like the more we travel the more difficult it is to decide where to go next. Not because we are running out of places to visit but because we find more places we want to go to faster than we manage to travel to them.
Some of the things from our travel bucket list we have ticked off since we started this blog in 2006 are
