Sounds like things have been going well over there! I just hope you aren't ended your asian adventure the way you began it (Greyhound ring any bells?) Can't wait to see you, and the sushi is waiting!

Girl, you look so dark and thin as a rail! Good thing you're coming home soon or you'd waste away! Glad to hear you're having a good time, see you soon.
Glad to hear from you Adrienne i am so glad to hear from you .. its been a long time. It sounds so interesting where you are and you are really taking in the sites and experiences. Your passport must be looking pretty impressive. How is the suitcase(s) holding up? Canada (you remember that country!) Day weekend is fast upon us Alf is busy with a choir from BC singing at PArliament Hill so I hope work will slow down abit so I can participate as well. I think I mentioned I was out west for business last weekend and your grandma says to say hi... I tried to show her how to log in and write you ... lwe'll hope it works

Sounds like fun! Aid you have proved you don't need make-up and blow driers and flat irons you look absolutly beautiful!!!! Anyway sounds like a blast, hope you filled up on designer purses! Miss you and stay safe! We have some wakeboarding to to at the cabin when you get home!
Car sickness memories.... Had to laugh at your comments about always getting car sick - it reminds me of our road trip out to Vancouver at Easter -89. After only about five minutes in in the car, you threw up all over my lap! It was a very long drive..... Take care and enjoy the rest of your trip!
Ottawa? Hey. Did you use to do gymnastics in Ottawa? if so, send me a message at andrewmcb [at] sympatico {dot} ca. if not, nice pix, sorry for intruding!

Still enjoying the memories I disagree with Gavin!!This isn't your once in a lifetime trip , it is your introductory trip to Asia with several more in the future.
While in Vietnam I remember seeing silk sleeping bags in Hanoi and later wishing I purchased one because they were less expensive there. I hope you survived the bus trip and enjoy HoiAn...their fish baked in banana leaves was excellent.
CLiff jumping As if, how high were htese cliffs?? Lets talk more about that!! Anyways, sounds like your trip is the shit. Keep on havin' a good time, remember, you'll probably only go once in your life, so make it count!!! I know you guys will. LOve Gavin
Football, Tubing, Beer .. is that you Adrienne? Once again your pictures are beautiful and it sounds like this is your "adventure" part of the trip. It sounds fantastic! Keep me posted on Laos as that is somewhere we are interested in going .. our neighbours just returned and loved it. Am here with Grandma - she says to say Hi and told me (once again!) how much she enjoyed you phoning her. I am here for business - Edmonton and then Montreal and should be back home in Ottawa by Thusday morning. Enjoy enjoy enjoy and stay save. I love you lots. Mom

Wonderful to see you! Adrienne - What beautiful images you have captured and you look so happy and relaxed... glad to see you have recuperated from the trip over. Sorry I missed your calls.. just got back from Portugal where all went well ... 33 degree weather but no humidity (whew!) Take care my darlin' and keep bloggin' Love MOM
Memories It sounds like you are doing the reverse of my travel 3 years ago!!The memory rushes are great. I really did enjoy the energy of KohSan Road BUT I also enjoyed the pool at my Guest House. The night market in ChiangMai was a favourite and it is really easy to mail things home from there.Walking in old town was also a treat. You will love Luang Prabang and I recommend the Canadian bakery and it's cinnamon buns...the night market also serves up some great food at a VERY reasonable cost.
Jealous God damn looks fun kiddo. Stay out of trouble.
Have a blast, don't hold back. You'll never get another chance to do this, so make sure you do it all the first time.
Love gavin
awesome thanks for the great pictures and updates. Did you try the roadside Phat Thai in Bangkok? The only way to beat the heat is Mekong and tonic on ice from 1-3 pm everyday! Enjoy.
Looks Awesome!! Sounds like quite an adventure!! Your pictures look awesome, which I'm sure are only half as beautiful as real life!! Was it cool to ride an elephant???
Things here are good...I am a wedding planning fool. It seems to be taking up a lot of my unemployed time!!
Take care and be safe!!
Love, Jen
loofahs! Me and Stu both bought dishwashing sponges in Pak Beng (the overnight stop on the slow boat ride) and used them as "loofahs" for the rest of the trip. Worked great.
