When we arrived at the North Sumatra airport, it was 40 degrees celsius. I thought it would be unbearable but you get used to it. Anyway thankfully my mum had booked a taxi and after 5 hours he brought us all the way to a gate where a huge statue of an orangutan stood with a huge signpost where "Bukit Lawang" was written. When we came in we paid the taxi and were immediately welcomed by our hotel holders. We had to walk quite a way which was good cause my legs had done nothing for five hours. Finally we arrived and the hotel was called Green Hill. The cool thing was that around 3 pm monkeys would come out of the rain forest. The other cool thing was the next-door river with immense current that it was scary to jump into it but we did it anyway.
