Bike into Phon Thong this morning and after a quick check in at the internet go to the shop that has our TV to get an update on its health. They show me the part that has failed (?!) and tell me that they will have to order a replacement from Samsung in Bangkok and it will take about a week - yeah right !! I'll give it a month - watch this space ...
Back to the village with black skies rumbling all around us. Cut down all of the trees that have shot up in the second half of the garden revealing a couple of papaya trees that we may be able to save. Start up another bonfire and keep it going most of the day. Where everything is still damp it takes an age to burn.
