Wake up to a dry morning after a wet night. Lazy morning reading whilst waiting for things to dry up a bit. Late morning we go out to the farm for a look around. The rice that has been in for some time is looking OK but a lot has only just been planted out and worst of all there are still several plots unplanted and no seedlings left to fill them. Looks like another bad year. Cut some long bamboo poles to make some railings for the orchids to hang from then back to the house soaked in sweat after the slightest of exertions !!
Early afternoon there are a few rumblings of thunder around so I quickly light a bonfire to burn what I can before it all gets wet again. Have moved the fire back to its usual place at the bottom of the garden now there is room so the smoke shouldnt be as much of a problem. The rains come quickly but the fire keeps burning until late evening.
