Efter en lang bustur ankom vi til Bangkok kl. 6 om morgenen. Ifølge busplanen skulle vi være blevet sat af ved Khao San road. Men da vi steg af bussen, var vi ikke helt det rigtige sted. Jeg gættede på, at vi var i nærheden, men ingen af de irriterende taxi og tuk tuk chauffører ville hjælpe os (der var jo ikke penge i det). En af dem var så fræk at pege i 2 retninger på samme tid og så grine af os. Men vi tog bare vores baggage og gik i den retning de fleste af de andre passagerer gik. Sziasztok! Boldog uj evet kivanok mindenkinek ChiangMai-bol! So arrived in chaing mai on Friday after a quick flight over from bangkok, which was obviously delayed again but only by an hour this time. Chaing mai is surrounded by beautiful mountains and jungles and is alot more relaxed than bangkok. As soon as we got here, we dumped our bags at the hostel and went for our first thai massge! We both had a 30 min foot massage for only 2 pounds! Which was amazing so obviously had to go back for a few more at that price! Caught a more successful tuk tuk to the Night Bazaar which is a massive out and indoor market with thousands of stalls, lanterns and hundreds of people (tourists) where we went and watched some thai boxing. Well the 12 hour overnight bus ride wasn't as bad as expected. Got chatting to a guy from Slovenia who works as a tour guide so when we got dropped off randomly at 6am he new a great little guesthouse. Spent the 1st day exploring the city, checking out the temples and just enjoying how much more relaxed it was compared to Bangkok! After staying up pretty late to watch a bit of football I set off on a two day trek into the mountains, where we got to ride elephants and do a lot of walking. The scenery was incredible, and we stayed in a bamboo hut in a hill tribe village with breathtaking views of the valley and a nice fire to keep us warm(they don't do health and safety in Thailand).
