Home and Away

I started blogging on Travelblog in 2009, entering trips beginning in 2007. My intention has always been to document my years of travel since my birth...how else was I to save all the slides my Dad took of my childhood! Most bloggers write about their trips away from home. Mine, and eventually Linda's, homes have usually been where people travel to. So the idea eventually percolated to name our blog "Home and Away." Wonderful to read Bob. Funny I was looking at how long I had been a member of this friendly group of travellers and was shocked at how many photos I had put on and how many words I had cobbled together. The wonderment of it all Bob. How lucky you have the photos of from when you were a bub to now and parents who were happy to chronicle your early days so you could take over to preserve the family history. Your life has been full of a multitude of experiences because you were born with the penchant for travel and to discover this extraordinary world. What A Life....And Still Going
Hi, I was fascinated to read your summation of a life of wandering, exploring, and learning. I’m going to go on a nostalgia trip on your blogs and try and get through them all. Security around 10 Downing St is somewhat tighter today. There is no way that you'll come that close to the door unless you have legitimate business there. Cool for you to have that photo. /Ake
