Tsarang to Lo Manthang The big day of the trek- the day we get to Lo Manthang! In all honesty Lo Manthang,the destination, isn't the big thing for me at all- it is the entire trek in this region. So far it has been such an incredibly different experience to the Everest region and the Annapurnas; in the culture, in the architecture, the people and the landscapes, it is very unique. So a routine breakfast? In a way- porridge as usual but.... this porridge is standout with an NPI (Nepali Porridge Index Score) 10/10!!! Departure is just after 8 this morning via the Tserang Thupten Shedrub Dhargyeling Monastery, phew, what a mouthful. The monastery is 700-800 years old.
