We started our journey at 8:00 in the morning. It took around 3 hours to reach our destination which is Majestic Maithon Dam, located between the border of Jharkhand and West Bengal. The dam is owned and governed by DVC (Damodar Valley Corporation). The roads were OK with mix of bumpy and smooth rides. First thing first, it is one of the most beautiful places in Jharkhand if you love lakes. There is a separate parking & washroom for the visitors there with 20-30 ready to eat food stalls (Pani puri, chat & Chinese snacks) just beside the parking. There a lots of places near the dam, where one can relax and enjoy the mother nature. This place is great for photography. Speed boats and normal boats are available round the year.
