Can't write much tonight cos I'm buggered. We started the day at 7am this morning but preparations had been going until late last night (I did score the peeling/ grating jobs but also branched out and chopped cabbage too.). Murphy and his law struck about 10pm and all the power in the flat and downstairs went out. This caused a mad panic as there were many hundreds of dollars worth of food in the refrigerators. We got it sussed in the end. You can really only laugh or cry!

Today was a massive success. In total we raised over $1000 for the school. A large percentage will go to a new music program. Part of it will also be put into a fund to help take Panha to Ireland to give him some experience in Western schools. I have put some photos up of today. The day was run a bit like a giant assembly. There was a buffet lunch followed by traditional and western items such as dancing, singing, playing instruments, skipping, aerobics and swimming (including laps, life saving demo and syncronised swimming). The volunteers even put on an item and performed a Khmer dance routine!

We are all having an early night as tomorrow we must be out of the flat at 5.50am to catch our bus to Siam Reap. I have cleared the memory cards so no doubt when I return you will be inundated with zillions of temple sunrise/sunsets.... just thought i'd warm you!!!

Have a happy long weekend Perth people! Have a drink for me. xxxx

Dear Grandad, thanks for all your wonderful messages. I love reading them. I know that sister of mine is a scally wag! I arrived safely in Siem Reap (along with a minor hick up) but it is a wonderful town and we are sure to be busy over the next few days. Thanks again for keeping me up to date with 'home'news. Love you both lots. xxxxx
