In no particular order and my own personal opinion:

Rio de Janeiro
Tokyo
Munich - because of Oktoberfest =]. a pretty worldly event if you ask me!
Barcelona

Amsterdam
It's extremely hard to answer this question - especially on a travel blog website. People interested in travel usually have interest in literally every nook and cranny of the world so it's hard to pick a 'top 10'. New York, London, Paris, and Tokyo should be on almost everyone's list but it just gets extremely subjective after that. Even though this is my top 10, it should be noted that there's probably about 100 other cities that I'd love to visit (I'm sure most people share that sentiment).

Reply to this My opinion is that the things that influence the most "known" cities in the world are 1. Movies/TV 2. Population of the country 3. Soccer 4. Education
My list is heavy on USA due to reasons #1, 2 and even 3 (many americans unfortunately cannot name cities outside their country, and yes, I am american) So my Top 10 not in order are:

Miami
Washington DC

Rio de Janeiro

Madrid
Delhi and Beijing just miss out
