“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” - St. Augustine; sometimes it takes a well thought-out quote to really explain what it means to do something. In this case, St. Augustine does that by showing us the vastness of Earth. This is OUR world and it's HUGE. We don't have any other worlds to go to and it's ashame that most people don't choose to explore it. Well, I intend to finish my 'book' so sit back and watch me as I do it.

Please subscribe if you want to stay on top of my travels and receive an e-mail every time I make a new entry! Furthermore, I love getting public affection every now and then so don't be afraid to comment on a blog, send a message, or recommend me.

DISCLAIMER: I'd like to think that my writing style is somewhat unique because of the fact that I try to make it as 'real' as I can when it comes to describing my life and my emotions. As a result of this, some of my blogs might be a bit raunchy (nothing too crazy) but yet, down to earth. For now, my Cancun blog stands as a good image of my writing style.

I fall in love with these Roman women at least once a day. Sometimes it happens during my tram ride to school, sometimes while waiting for my espresso to served at a local bar, and sometimes it's while I'm a few beers deep in a Piazza on a Friday night. Italy has a lot more good looking girls than in the United States but they're different. I don't know what it is but I haven't figured out how to break through the cultural barrier yet. When I pass these girls I purposely stare at them..it's partially because I want them to know I'm interested and it's partially because I can't help it. A mutual stare is usually as far as it goes though. I don't know if I'm just too nervous about the cultural/lingual difference or ... read more

So I promised myself I'd write a blog a week or so before I left for Italy - well, here it is! A lot of developments have happened in the past few weeks leading up to my departure. I got my housing assignment as well as my roommates (there's 4 in total), I received my Visa back from the consulate, and I found out the dates of some of the trips I will be going on. Besides receiving information, I've also kept busy by working my ass off, working out a lot, and getting things together for the trip. This is my last long weekend of work before I leave and thank god! I'm a waiter at a busy restaurant so a 40-hour work week really gets to you after a few weeks when you never ... read more

Well, I'm home from New Hampshire. I was just about ready to be home too. Being on Lake Sunapee for a week is always great but being away from friends, technology, and summer fun gets annoying. I slept most of the way back listening to my iPod. I got out of the car to what I would later find out was the hottest day of the summer so far - and it's a been a HOT summer. I embraced the heat and began unpacking. After a little while of bummin' around I decided it would be a good idea to find out what was going on in town tonight. My buddy Steve's parents were away and he was having a few people over. A friend from high school, Rupolo, was also having a party at his ... read more

It’s another beautiful day on the lake. I’m currently sitting on the deck with two delicious mixed drinks, two beers, and a moxie next to me. Moxie is apparently a very popular soda in the New England area that I promised myself I’d try. It tastes something in between root beer and Dr. Pepper with a flat after taste. I’m currently not a fan - yet, at least. I haven’t drank much all week due to my brief sickness but that’s just about all in the past now and I’m ready to get a little tipsy. Next to me is also “On The Road” by Jack Kerouac. It’s a very famous book and rightfully so, as I have found out. It’s about a group of free-spirited youths finding themselves by traveling America without much of an ... read more

It’s 5:45 AM. You’re probably wondering what the hell I’m doing up - more on that later. It’s Monday morning. We arrived what feels like yesterday but was actually Saturday afternoon. This is probably because all of Sunday felt like a blur to me - again, more on that later. Upon arriving, I got up out of the car and did what anyone would do after a 5 hour car ride - I stretched and yawned for a good minute or two before taking a look around. I’m 20 years old now and this is the 20th summer that I’ve been here but it seems like I cherish it more every year rather than grow weary of it. Being from Long Island and very close to New York City, New England is very refreshing to me. ... read more

Excitement was high! About half of the six of us had done this trip once before and we were more than ready to do it again. I know what you might be thinking - "going to Cancun isn't real traveling" - but I beg to differ. It's just a different type of traveling, and not my most favorite by any means but it has it's own special allure to it. And seeing as I'm an outgoing college student, I throughly enjoy partying when the time calls for it. When we arrive in our hotel room me and my buddy Steve immediately take our shirts off. What's the point of being in Cancun if two strapping, young men can't enjoy the freedom of never wearing a shirt? Besides, this ups our chances of getting laid by at ... read more

Hi!! This is my first time really blogging but I decided that since I'm starting to really have a passion for traveling, it's about time I document it while attempting to make it somewhat pleasing to the eye for anyone who decides to read. So far I have been to a few locations inside the US but abroad, solely Mexico and Italy. This, of coarse, I'm intending to change and as fast as possible. The future for me looks very exciting. In the spring I'm looking forward to a second trip to Cancun as an appetizer. Cancun is obviously not the most interesting Mexican location but like I said in my bio - I love meeting new people while having a blast and because of this, I love Cancun. If you punch in Cancun on youtube ... read more
