Il n'aura échappé à personne que je suis assez portée ''bouffe''.... voilà pourquoi nous voici sur le troisième poste relatif à la nourriture brésilienne. Parmi les incontournables de la cuisine brésilienne nous avons dans tous les bars, restaurants, cuisines des mamans et même chez les indiens d'Amazonie le célèbre ''Arroz e feijao'' soit ''riz et haricots''. Garniture de la quasi totalité des viandes et poissons on y trouve des avantages (c'est pas cher, bon pour la santé et la sauce des haricots rend le riz moins sec) et des inconvénients (le riz constipe et les haricots n'ont pas super réputation, c'est sympa au début mais au bout d'un moment on voudrait un bon plat de ratatouille...). La plage de Boa Viagem (''Bon voyage'') qui s'étend sur la zone Sud de Recife est digne de n'importe quelle série télévisée (Sunset Beach, Melrose Place, Beverly Hill's) mais il est interdit de s'y baigner. Les panneaux 'DANGER : attaque de requin' plantés tous les 50 mètres dissuade les touristes dans un premier temps, mais ils imitent très vite les locaux qui osent se mouiller jusqu'aux genoux sans trop prendre de risque. L'eau est trouble et les requins sont vraiment partout donc il vaut mieux éviter de faire un vrai plouf malgré la chaleur. Les SPÉCIALISTES qui veulent expliquer l'augmentation d'attaques depuis 20 ans dénoncent la construction du port de Suape, dans le vieux Recife, dans la fin des années 80. To make a long story short. I got a phone call to help deliver a 130ft Yacht from Rio de Janero, Brazil to Miami. I arrived in Rio on Oct 15th. I provisioned the boat for a 4 day crossing to the departure port and left a couple of days after my arrival. On the way we had different failures with the systems and now we are stock in a historic town called Recife. I will upload more details about this trip accompanied with photos. Fernando de Noronha…most of you may have never heard about this place. Speak to an Argentinian….or any Brazilian…and you see a huge smile…and the comment goes…I heard it’s beautiful, but I’ve never been. This is the place where a lot of Brazilians do dream of going on honeymoon….and yes, there are a lot of them around...on honeymoon! Fernando de Noronha is a small archipelago, with the main island something like 10km on maybe 3km maximum. It’s green, it’s very green….and there is some beautiful water around. The Brazilians love theirs beaches, and they consider the best beach of Brazil to be in Fernando, more accurately Praia do Sancho. Am Samstag bin ich also um 5 aufgestanden, eine dreiviertel Stunde später hat mich Carlos abgeholt. Überpünktlich sind wir am Treffpunkt vor der Uni angekommen. Treffen war für 6.15 Uhr angesetzt und wie eine der Professorinnen vorher mit Nachdruck angekündigt hatte, würde der Bus um 6.30 Uhr losfahren, egal ob noch jemand fehlt oder nicht. Jetzt ratet, wer 6.30 Uhr noch nicht da war! Richtig, die Profs (alle!) und der Bus. Die Fahrt hat schließlich eine gefühlte Ewigkeit gedauert, erst nach über 5 Stunden sind wir in Bonito (was übrigens so viel heißt wie "hübsch") angekommen. Bis dahin hatten wir alle einen Bärenhunger, aber wir mussten noch die ganze Gruppe von 40 Studenten auf 2 Pousadas verteilen und bei südamerikanischem Denkmuster kann man sich sicher sein, dass sowas total chaotisch und uneffektiv abläuft.
