New York Paris, - where am I? I must be quiet. Because it is time for my lesson. Warsaw London Rio De Janeiro Sydney Santiago Los Angeles Panama Beijing Tokyo Moscow Walvis Bay Abuja Tunis Perth Dear all, I.m nobody. I.m a person you don.t know. A man you.ve never met. But you are someone who occupies my mind and my heart in this distant land where I have gone. If you can imagine a hidden place tacked safely away from the world, concealed by the sea, high salty waves, morning breeze and sand dunes, a place rich with all the strange beauty of your nighttime dreams, than you know where I am. In the country where I.m traveling people believe if they drive or walk long distances to meet their destiny that.ll purifies their bad ... read more

Geo: -32.9264, 151.781YAY...finally i left Canberra and made it to our next destination.....Newcastle. Well not Newcastle in general, but outer suburbs and small townships around Lake Macquarie. But i did encounter once again more problems with the car before we drove up, this time the distributor wasn't working properly and therefore had to be replaced. I was told $1700 for a new one or $250 for an aftermarket one. It became clear what choice i made. Finally after 2 days in the shop and $800 later it was ready to go.We took Sean's car up for the Thursday and Friday as Sean was going back down to Canberra for the weekend, we managed to Audit 15 schools in 2 days which was 1/3 of the area, this was because all of the schools are so close to each ... read more

A very quick update. poor planning lead us to go to Newcastle this weekend instead of canberra. We expected little out of the trip and because of that had a greattime. only problem is that during the trip I got ferociously ill. I can back early to our hotel room (a 4 bedroom furnished apartment), and went in to bed. i woke up a few hours later and had obvious signs of fever. I slept the entire way home on the train (4 hours). now I'm back home in bed feeling better but still sick. Doctor at uni tomorrow.... read more

Hello Well this is my final blog from Australia as I am flying to New Zealand in the morning! The last two places that I have visited are Newcastle and Sydney. I did spend a night in Sydney when I got here, it was supposed to be three days but I missed two days because of the food poisoning episode when I was supposed to leave Thailand so I came back after travelling over 3500km down the East Coast to see the things I missed. I'm staying in the Railway Square YHA, which is right on Central Train station. The whole place is designed just like a train station and you even sleep in railway carraiges which is a nice change! I just spent one day in Newcastle and I wasn't feeling too well. To get ... read more

Moving this week from Raymond Terrace back into town, Newcastle. Once that nightmare is over we can start planning our trip in more detail. Airline tickets will be first cab off the rank, which will establish the dates everything is going to happen. I would add a photo to this once I can work out how to do it?? May have succeeded!!... read more

English Tomorrow, I will fly back home to Germany. I will be taken to the airport by an ambulance, fly via Singapore to Frankfurt, and from there, an ambulance will take me to a rehabilitation hospital in the city of Tübingen. I will be accompanied by a German doctor and a German nurse, travelling first class, for the first and most likely only time in my life. The doctor managed it that I don't have to lie on a stretcher, but can sit in a comfortable seat that allows me to lie down if I want to. I was pretty happy about that. The doctor and the nurse will come and see me later on. I had a couple of pretty nice days during the last week. Scott went flying in Newcastle, so he took me ... read more

We got to Canberra about 7 am on our night bus from Melbourne. It was a long night, and we were pretty tired so we didn't really do much in Canberra. Mostly eating and sleeping. We left Canberra at 9 am the next morning (March 6th) and got to Newcastle about 5 pm. March 7th we walked past the Ocean Baths and several beaches to Nobby's Head where there was an old lighthouse, and then went to the beach after lunch. It was a really good beach day and the water was really nice - but it was lucky the lifeguards warned everyone about the current - it was really strong even just standing in the water up to our knees! We could also get all the way soaked from just standing to our knees too ... read more

English On Friday last week, I was finally discharged from hospital, after four weeks. I am staying with Monica and Scott now. Monica came to pick me up on Friday afternoon, and the two of them had prepared a very nice surprise. The house seemed to say Welcome Katha as they had put up many balloons. And they had invited some friends for dinner, so we had pizza and a birthday cake with Adriaan, Dustin, Wendi and Gary and their daughter, Tinks, Conrad and Anousha and their little baby. It was an absolutely great surprise, and I was really happy about the most beautiful evening I had had in weeks. I would like to thank Monica and Scott anyway, not only for the surprise party, but also for having me. They accepted strangers (the occupational therapists) to ... read more
