We took my mum out for her birthday. We had dinner at the yummy Italian Wayne and I went to for my birthday and then went to the theatre. We saw the 39 Steps at the Mercury. The theatre was packed out! I really enjoyed the play, it was very very funny, and lots of amusing action. I would love to see the film (not funny apparently). ... read more

This year for my birthday I was unfortunately working :( However my family came over and took me out for a yummy lunch - Mummy Pappy and Aunty Mary embarrassing me with a cake and candles in the café. Mummy also managed to get 4 tickets to the theatre for the evening which had been sold out! Wayne and I got to Colchester early and went to dinner at a delicious seafood Italian restaurant. I had scrummy crab followed by turbot, crayfish and scallops. It was delicious! Dad’s Army the Lost Episodes was brilliant, the actors were fantastic and it was a great show. All in all it was a great day! ... read more

My mate Dom works as a Nanny and was leaving to go to work in Moscow, Russia. Decided to have a leaving do at Escape in Colchester. Excellent night out but I was driving as leg not 100% and didn't want to cause more harm! Danced as much as could but had chairs so could rest when needed.... read more

(This delayed entry comes after a hectic few weeks of tying up loose ends and setting off on our travels!) So we tied the knot at Colchester registry office on Friday 7 September 2007!... It was a lovely day - just a few friends and family joined us at the registry office for the brief ceremony. We went from there for a lovely meal at The Bakehouse in Wivenhoe followed by a 'Back to Bob's' where we were joined by some more friendly faces from Wivenhoe. Then we headed for Brightlingsea to stay in the yurt and make final preparations on Saturday morning for the main event - The Wedding Celebration party!... Saturday 8 September was all we had hoped for and more... The day took place at Colin Kirby Green's field in Brightlingsea which looks ... read more

Hey everyone, Sorry I know its been a while but its been pretty non-stop for the last few weeks, but I'm having a slow day today so I thought that I'd try to catch up a bit. The last time I wrote I had met up with Mum and Barbara for a day in London and then headed back to my place before leaving to finally go and see the Simpsons movie. I felt like because I had been so very obsessed with the Simpsons for so long I really had to go and see the movie, even though I knew it wouldn't be as good as it would've been if it had been made several years ago. It was better than the new episodes but still not a really great film. That week at work ... read more

Saturday 7 July, I drove to Colchester, picked up Em (from my Psychology class) in Stanway and headed for Brightlingsea waterfront. Unfortunately, some of the signs to Brightlingsea had been moved (by youths so the man I asked told me). We got to the front for 10.00 am and Paul (our Psychology Teacher) spotted us throught his bionoculars and started to wave. Sorted the car out and got on board meeting Paul's mate Bob who will be helping out. Paul does his boat up in his spare time but it is a slow process, only got Stingray back in the water at the end of May. We set out and headed towards Bradwell to grab a drop of lunch. Trip over was good, sun was out now and then and we were shooting across, doing a ... read more

This is not probably going to be the most thrilling post to read but I needed the downtime. After the craziness of Glasto I got back and Barbara got me back into her soaps and Big Brother (which is much more interesting than Aussie BB). I also watched some of the video of Glasto that she had recorded (so far I've only spotted myself on the front row of the Amy Winehouse gig). I had a couple of days off and then on Thursday I headed in to Paddington in London for a couple of injections to do with work but because I didn't have my records they had to take some blood and do some tests and I had to go back on Monday. Whilst I was in I went to HMV and spent ... read more

My last night and the way home Europe » United Kingdom » England » Essex » Colchester By TamsinJune 30th 2007Tamsin Sebba Friday 29th Arrived in Nairobi at 10.30am, and got a taxi to Ken’s backpackers, where we were sure he wouldn’t be as last we saw he was in jail. However, he greeted us with a mighty hug, not remembering where he knew us from, and tales that someone had tried to assassinate him whilst he was at the coast, and about how he was going back to England to start a new business i.e. he’s being deporte... read more
