Weekend in Oxford, dropping Mum off for a residential course on the Friday, just outside Oxford. Booked a dorm bed in the YHA in Oxford, opposite the train station. Walking distance to Oxford, walked a number of routes round the Colleges, Churches and Inspector Morse. Fantastic weather, walked round all day with lunch in the park. [View Full Entry]

Trip to Isle of Wight - Friday 1 to Monday 4 May 2009. Headed out at 9.00 am on Friday, Suzanne picked me up in her mini and went to Chris' where the other four were already there. Six of us set off with a few hick up's on the way, ie Wayne's bike cut out, Chris dropped bike whilst pulling onto gravel and Dean's bike totally breaks down and ends up being towed back home, one mile from Southampton port!!! Went to Bangkok for a couple of days, went along the river to see the 'Wat's' and hired a tut tut to see more. Found the Hard Rock Cafe to get my shot glass (had a flaming B52!) and then flew to Phuket. Went elephant treking, white water rafting for the day, three days scuba diving - saw turtle, octopus and leopard shark. Couple of days island hopping to Yao Yai island and Phi Phi island and then three days in luxury hotel in Patong. In October 2008, Mum and I went to Bath for the weekend. As I wanted to see Stonehenge again, (very cold and busy) headed the long way and arrived in Bath at about 3.00 pm. We parked up and had a quick look around, popping into the church, where there was a group were practising for the evening 'performance'. Fantastic to hear with the high ceilings, very atmospheric! Over the weekend, did the Roman Baths, had a bite to eat in the oldest house in Bath, Sally Lunn's and enjoyed the good food. Trying to find the photo's - update soon. [View Full Entry]

Went on holiday to Puerto Del Carmen, Mexico in August/September 2008. This was an all inclusive holiday so food and drink (Cocktails) galour! Went on trips to Chichen Itza, night to cancun, day trip to cancun, day trip to waterpark and swam with the Dolphins [View Full Entry]

I went to the Isles of Scilly in July 2008, however, the weather was so bad when we arrived in Penzance that the ferry was cancelled that day. Went to Lands End and St Ives which was lovely and travelled the following day to St Marys. Leaving at ungodly hour of 6 am for flight at 11 am! Unfortunately, as got freebie tickets through airmiles have to go to Heathrow - what a pain! Everything went according to plan until Captain came on tanoy to explain that a bird had hit the part of the undercarriage which was now damaged. They had a replacement which had to be fixed with a large number of bolts. This took two hours to do whilst we were on the tarmac. Flight then took about an hour! On Sunday, as the weather was so good, Wayne came to pick me up on his Road King Harley Davidson (similar to picture) so that we could go for a spin. This would be the first time back on a bike (although pillion) since my accident in September. All was good, had to shut my eyes a few times but felt comfortable and with the sissy bar rack on the back kept me in one place. The best bit was when people came over to speak to us about the bike. Four of us went to see the movie, Sex and the City in the evening on Tuesday 3 June at Freeport, Braintree. Its bargin night so could afford to splash out on popcorn and a drink - but only just!
