We are still in Oxford and absolutely loving it. We are staying at the same hostel that we stayed in 3 years ago which is a lively place not far from the centre of town, literally 3 minutes walk. The atmosphere is really friendly so it will be a bit sad when we say goodbye to our new friends and head off to Rome tomorrow. The other morning due to the time difference between here and NYC I found myself unable to go back to sleep after waking at 5am. So I grabbed the trusty iPod and spent the next 2 [View Full Entry]

And now we are in Oxford. Its great to be back in this beautiful and historic town. It has been just over 3 years since I last came to the place that is famous for its world reknowned University but more importantly (to some of us) for producing the greatest english band since Pink Floyd....that band of course is Radiohead. Hopefully we will spot one of the boys around town. So our North American adventures, are over for now. I can speak for both of us when I say that we had an abssolutely fantastic time. It is so hard to [View Full Entry]

Hello again guys. First off just want to say i dont read Johns blog entries so forgive me if i repeat what he's already said. I really, really really need a break from drinking. Really. I think out of the 6 weeks or so we have been travelling i've had 3-4 nights that i have not been toasted. AHHHHH. We wake up in the morning now so retartedly, i'm not sure if i would call it hungover cos i think we've moved past that, that we sing for an hour or so...? Anyway hows this. Most people will prolly appreaciate this, [View Full Entry]

...thats the way you spell new york according to tex perkins...crazy man. Anyway we are still in NYC and the weather is fantastic! sunny and no wind at all...we have been walking around in t-shirts for the past few days. in the end we decided against going to cleveland in favour of staying in, arguably, the best city in the world for the weekend. A decision we are both glad we made. Since out last entry we have done quite a lot. We went for a big walk around central park, and went to the Dakota building where the great John [View Full Entry]

We have been in NYC for a few days now and yep i love it. What a great place this is, we really don't feel unsafe here...we felt more unsafe in vegas really. If you avoid certain areas after dark you can't get into too much trouble... So far we have seen (as puddy previously mentioned) the seinfield cafe..that was the first thing we did actually becauise it was only 9streets north of where we were staying. We have been up the empire state building, that was fantastic...again they give you an audio companion thing to listen so you know where [View Full Entry]

Hello guys. Well we have arrived safe and sound in NYC and thus far have spent one night here. Want to send out a massive thanks to Sarah, Kelly and Doreen for putting us up in thier home for several nights. Was a rad pad. I've never really been in a basement b4 in a house, which was cool because after a massive night if you woke up on the couch at miday it was still dark all around you. They also had a spa. :) It was a new experience to jump in the spa with a few beers and [View Full Entry]

well we have been staying in waterloo for the past few days at sarah's house. The full canadian hospitality has been extended to us and we are having a fantastic time here. We have been able to have a bit of a rest after 27 consectutive hang-overs...just kidding, sort of. Its great to see canada from the suburban perpective...the people here really do have there own separate identity from the US...a lot is the same but so much is different. Sarah's mum has a spa, or jacuzzi as they call it. Its great! sitting outside with snow all around in a [View Full Entry]

We are back in Toronto (pronounced Ta-Ron-O)....today we went to the CN tower which was built for some sort of telecommunications interchange and is the worlds tallest free-standing building...its very tall!...on the observation deck they have a glass floor so you can see right down to the ground...its a very cool thing to do but very very disconcerting. we loved our time in Montreal....what a great place :) as i have said before it was so so cold...our last night there it was -18 degrees celcius...thats cold right? yeah damn right its cold....and thats before you take into account t [View Full Entry]

Finally John is letting me write an e-mail entry. Unfortunatly he has said everything we have done thus far so there is not much more i can say really. So far iim having a fantastic time. Every town i go to i have to remind myself where i am. Its going to be hard getting home and back to work when at the moment my day consists mainly of waking up, eating breakfast, walking to we find a pub, and staying there till it closes or we get kicked out. So far my favorite places have been San Diego, Memphis, and [View Full Entry]
