So Sad Well guys, I know your families are very glad that you're home now, but I will miss reading your entries from all your travels. It's been so entertaining and interesting to stay abreast of what you were doing and where you were going, and the writing has been excellent...a nice mix of human interest, history and culture...great photos, too.
Too bad I didn't have the chance to invite you to our seaside hamlet in Oregon when you were on the west coast. We could have taken the boat out for dungeness crab and gathered mussels on the beach. I don't suppose you'll be this way again, but if so, look us up: www.bandon.com
All the best to you now that you're back in the real world again. The transition will no doubt be difficult but I know you'll manage. :-)

Better late than never Having recently gone live on the internet, we decided to catch up with your travels, whilst having a few drinks. As it turns out, we are now rather pissed due to having missed out on so much of the trip. Pudd keep your hands to yourself now that you are in Thailand. Looking forward to seeing you again, and hearing the live version and seeing all the pics, Love Andrew and Katie....
P.S Andrew says he doesnt love you, sorry.... maybe try lady boy, they love you long time
merry xmas Hi guys. Kristian once told me that checking this thing for comments was full of anticipation like waiting for a gift. I see its been a while since it was updated or commented on but that you also check it every day so........hope you are enjoying thailand. Keep practicing the German John and Kristian, Canada says your welcome. Seriously, the whole country - I asked them all. The angry beaver crew misses you and you are welcome back any time. I promise not to hit you with a stuffed racoon or whatever that was. hahaha, oh hitchhiker lady.
hey mate Great photos dude i am extremely jealous. Happy birthday for the other day, i had a quiet beer for you back here in the cold i call Morwell. Great to hear that you are having a ball. The angry beaver, what a corker of a name!!!!!
Keep going
Dease
Kristian........wow...what can we say? Those photos are outstanding! and by far that is your best blog to date. You have sure made some friends for life there. By the way have a very happy birthday, you missed out on birthday cake at Maccas with the family and opted to go white water rafting in the rapids somewhere in the Yukon (cant work that one out). Next Sunday i'll be on the water cruising around at a somewhat more sedate pace than you have been. I'll be cruising around Western Port at a liesurely six knots, nowhere in your league. My cruise will be rated negative class one. Unfortunately it'll be my 50th. Keep up the good work Pudd, keep having fun, and mum said to bring home a bison if it's not too much trouble. Ok cya, luv mum and dad
Wow! So much fun reading your notes (and fantastic photos!) from the great NorthWest....closer to my part of the planet, and thinking about the two of you traveling so easily from one part of the world to another. What an experience you're having! And Happy Belated Birthday!
Happy Birthday Happy 25th Birthday Kristain, it certainly would be one you will remember. Loved reading about your experiences in the great white north of Canada. The photos are fantastic, I guess it is a photographers paradise in that part of the world. How are you and John ever going to settle down to an ordinary life again. It sounds as if you both have had a wonderful time, see you when you return. Love from Monica, John and Bede.
Spain!!!!!!!!!! Hello!!!!
I will be heading off to Spain on 19 August and Barcelona is my last stop in Spain. But everyone has warned me that I should only take a couple of euros with me when going out. Whatever you do, don't think of the phone, wallet and camera, think of your swim in the ocean and who you were with. Everyone (well may be everyone) has done a swim at 4am in the morning and that's at home. Those materialistic things, well that's what it is, things.
Anyway, take care and if you come to London before 18 August, give me a call.
Erika
Mick Turner!! Ha ha thats so funny, your quest to find someone close to Mick Turner has taken you all the way to Barcelona!! I still remember those crap msgs you sent me just saying two words, "Mick Turner"
Anyway sounds like you are having an awesome time, you may or may not know that i have moved back home to the land of the pines, all in the greater good of saving money for a house...stay safe boys and look forward to seeing the both of you, love always riajane xx
howdy boys! well the tales of your travels continue to fascinate every time i open my email! congratulations john on your writing success hitting the big time in german newspapers. i noticed your copyright at the bottom of the blog. did they get your expressed written consent to publish your work as the law demands? just a thought - sue em for extra spending money in spain. careful of the bears in alaska puddy!!!! xxx elise
Good Times Hi pudd, yep i think you'd be kickin yer-self if you hadn't gone back to visit Chelsea, she looks absolutely gorgeous, and you two look like yer havin a really great time. The photos are fantastic and yes yer right,it's gonna take you for-ever to settle back into work ,i'm afraid that you'll be makin a fair few mistakes fer a while.Tell Chelsea's parents thanks for looking after our boy so well and if Chelsea ever found her way over then we woulld love to reciprocate.I have been enjoying watching Wimbledon pudd with my boy going swimmingly until to-day when he got beaten by Marcos Bagdadis, it's realy frustrating be-cos if Hewitt just played agressively like he does when he has his serve broken he'd be ok but he just has gotten into this habit of just gettin the ball back across the net and waiting for his opponent to make a mistake which might work ok until you get to the big guns and they just go for it , any way coach Payne over and out. Take care Yung man say hello to Chelsea. Luv Dad.
Oh Canada? Hey John, I just had to say congratulations on becoming a published writer! Back when I first read that entry I found it interesting because I had the same discussion with my friend who lives in Ingolstatd. He lived in Canada for a year and upon his return home to Germany he made the same observation about "patriotism" there as compared to Canada, etc. So nicely done! We're taking good care of Kristian here - he has not been eaten by any wildlife as of yet and seems to be enjoying himself! Some golfing and camping (and ice skating!) are in the works. Take care and keep us updated with news from Germany.
korrect spellen Hi pudd an john its fantastic to hear from you two blokes on your blogs on the world cup, wot a fantastic shot of the aussie rules footy spiraling above the sky-line, i think you could sell that to the afl except that the footy looks round. Yeah and pudd i saw your car the other day drivin down racecourse rd although the it took me a few seconds at first to realise that it was your old timer and that the bloke drivin it looked like history in the world cup advertisements until i took another look and realised it was dease too late he'd go ne but i took a final look in the rear view mirror ,oh and daniel your back tail-ligts out. Anyway yung puddin great to hear from you and by the way,John i think some of your letter writing ability is starting to rub off o n pudd he is definitely improving which leads me to say Pudd that i am about to give you a long shot English lesson. First it's weather not whether ,lingual not lingral, frustrated not frustaited although you probably are, were not where, caught not cought, plumb not plum, Australia not Austalia, crackers not crakers and chocolate not choclate got that hummmmm! hhhummmmmmm! sorry yung man but it got the better of me. Keep being terrific love DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and bob.
That's it. Hi John. I read a part of your posting which was published in an important German newspaper (FAZ) on sunday. I have to say that I was moved when I discovered how precise some of our 'World Cup guests' evaluate the situation here. Especially the part about patriotism in Germany hit the nail right on the head. Thanks for that statement. Greetings from Aachen.
Btw. It's a shame that Italy made it into the next round!
Well done Aussies! Hi Pudd hi John its mum (Linda) I'm not sure where you are at the moment Pudd,(possibly in Canada) as the last blog John entered you were'nt in the pic's but I need to get in contact with you urgently regarding some important documents that you need to sign ASAP. I'v tried to phone but have not been successful. Hi John love the picture of the footy as its flying through the air what a fantastic shot. To be apart of the atmostphere over there would be awsome. John could you please ask Pudd to phone home ASAP, hopefully you will be speaking to him. Love the Blogs. Love Linda xx

Kristian V Lickmeinstein Hey guys how you doin? looks like youse are still well in control of your destiny and all but i wouldnt leave Pudd in control of the beer again, it looks like he drank half of them to save spillage. (Hence my comments title).Pudd we saw the photos and they are great, although mum reckons you need a severe haircut.I know Boof tried to send you some photos but couldnt cos he was havin some sort of trouble.I see that you made it to Rothenburg, what did you think of the place?did you see the size of their torture chamber or was i in the wrong place? If it was the right place that i steered you to it should have been pretty good but then again i forget that you two have seen a lot of castles whereas i only saw that one cos like i was only i n the place for like 2 minutes like.(Like that do yer,? like do yer?)Anyways i think i'm startin to get affected by the computer radiation or sumthin like. Anyway be good to each other like or sumthin. Bob
