Today I was exploring the big city on my own. Amy had gone to spend some time with Rachael and Alison so I decided to take a visit to the Empire State Building. It's the tallest building in New York City and I had to check out the observation deck while I was here. I woke quite early and took the subway downtown and arrived at the Empire State Building around 10:30AM. I took a few pictures from the street, trying hard to get the whole massive building in shot. I woke up today even earlier than yesterday went down and my luggage had arrived. It's about time, I felt so much better and much more comfortable now that I had all my clothes and toiletries. I was out of the hostel at around 8AM, once again walking around central park, exploring the other end. It wasn't long before I met up with Amy and two more of her friends: Alison and Rachael. Today they were going to the Museum of Natural History, which I wasn't really interested in because I hadn't heard much about it. On the 13th of August 2007, I woke up to my alarm at 4AM, packed and ready for my first overseas trip to the United States of America. I'd been running around like crazy the last few days trying to get everything ready to go. I was up very late the night before trying to pack all the stuff I had planned to take in my backpack but had to cut quite a lot of clothes out because I just couldn't fit them in.
