Looking up at the Space Needle
Today we were heading to one of the places I was really looking forward to, Seattle. It was quite a drive until we came into Seattle and headed for our Hotel, which was a little while outside the city, closer to the airport. We got our rooms and I was in a room with Ben, I wasn’t happy, Dave got his own room. I threw my gear on the bed and went to have a look around the hotel, went on the internet for a while then met with everyone in the hotel lobby. We didn’t have much time in Seattle unfortunately, we had from 4PM then headed off again early tomorrow. Jon dropped us off down town and we began to have a look around. First we went to the space needle and headed up to the viewing platform to get an awesome view of the city, the views were fantastic. After we headed back down we had a look through the souvenir shop then continued to have a look around Seattle. We headed down to the public market where the famous pikes place fish market is located but when we got there, they were just leaving so we were

pretty disappointed.

We moved on and at the end of the street Dave stopped to bargain with a guy to give us a cheap horse and carriage ride. Eventually we all jumped into the carriage took some group photos then headed down the street. He was a strange guy, at least 65 years old and he wouldn’t stop talking about his girlfriend who was still under 21. We hopped off near Pioneer Square to have a look around. We took a few photos and moved on, we began to walk to where we were meeting Jon, at a pub for some food down the road. We arrived a little early and decided to have a beer at a small bar close to where we were meeting Jon. They asked for our ID and checked it thoroughly then got us our drinks. But then another guy came out and asked us for ID again. They were acting so strange, it took them a good 10min before they were certain about Sara’s passport. We weren’t very happy so we paid them in change, a massive pile of change, giving them 1 Canadian cent for a tip, pretty rude I know but

they were terrible. We had some dinner then headed for a pub to have a few drinks round the corner. Lucy couldn’t get it so she left with Min early and headed back to the hotel. The rest of us had a massive night of drinking and playing pool, getting home early in the morning, I have no idea how we got back to the hotel.
