My trip of 2010 is a going to be an epic one, of this much I am sure. On April 10th I'll be heading to Los Angeles, California to visit my father, step mother, and friends before heading to the African continent on the 24th of April.
There will be many firsts for me, my first swim in the Indian ocean, my first time on a safari, my first time bungee jumping, and my first time in a Muslim country.
One thing that won't be my first though is the World Cup of Football (Soccer). That is the destination after a 7 week tour with African Trails. I'll start on May 3rd in Nairobi and go through Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, and end up in South Africa.
Shortly after arriving in Capetown, South Africa, I will fly to Johannesburg to watch the USA play against Algeria in the final game of our group stage (very important game!!). After that I will fly back to Cape Town before heading east and then north to explore the countries of Lesotho and Swaziland. If you thought it ended there you are mistaken.
At the beginning of August I will be heading to the Middle East. I fly from South Africa to Egypt on my sisters 22nd birthday, I'll say hi to the Pyramids for you Jill!
After spending some time in Egypt I plan on heading to Jordan to see what there is to see there (google Petra and Wadi Rum). I'd like to go to the Palestine and Israel afterwards (don't worry Mom!).
That is the plan so far, we'll see what happens! Gotta play it by ear! Hope you enjoy the blog!
