Hi guys I'm back on line after some serious traveling. So far been to Sydney twice in 4 days and haven't stepped outside of the airport....
Got pretty bored of sitting round in Perth so we went and booked ourselves on some tours. Went into a travel agent and was greeted by some crazy lady who kept singing her sentences to us, and not that she could carry a tune. Ended up sitting with her for over 2 hours whilst we booked Fiji flights & tour (I can't wait, very excited). Then onto some more local stuff from Perth. Booked up on the 3 day Southern Curl which picked us up at 7am (meanies), we were greeted by a jolly round Ozi, jumped in the van and headed off. First stop (6 hours later) was a nice little walk up Castle Rock. Wade was complaining because I'd promised that we wouldn't do any more trekking (I lie). After negotiating our way through the woods and small rocks at the top we were greeted by a rusty old ladder bolted onto the side of a rock. I must admit I don't really like ladders but once you were up the view
Big Rock
How strong am I was worth it. You could see forever.
Nothing of any major excitement happened on the tour. Did the usual wineries, chocolate factory ect... Set up home in a hostel in Albany. Then on the second day we went to an old Whaling Station where they showed us how they used to basically kill & cut up whales, gross.... then in a complete flip reverse took us off to do some whale watching (again). Basically if I paid to go again and didn't see anything I was going to be pissed, and if everyone came back and had seen something I would of have been gutted. So we decided to go, and oh my God... we found a group of 12 humpback whales. It actually made my heart pound. You are only allowed within 100 meters of them so we were viewing from afar when all of a sudden 2 came up about 20 meters away from the side of the boat. I actually said out loud that I'd cacked myself. Skydiving has nothing on this.
Spent our second night in a log cabin in Pemberton Forest, which, God knows why, had an outside toilet & shower facilities. Had
Wade climbing another Hill
Not very happy about it either! a few bevies with the tour guide and some Irish lasses and went out to the bog to be confronted by a spider sitting on the edge of the baisen.... just killed it didn't I, with my flip flop. No problem, hard as. Bearing in mind that I HATE spiders, I think I'm getting over my fear just fine.
Took a trip round all the usual sights Natures Bridge, the Gap, green pool (which is the most stunning beach I've ever seen). The blow holes were the best, standing on the edge of the cliffs by a hole in the rock, when the sea crashes into the side it blows air up through the hole. The noise and then the rush of wind really puts it up you. Makes you jump more than anything (see inserted pic of me looking stunning!).
Went off to a small national park for lunch where basically, we were the lunch. I walked away with 6 mossie bites, awful. Went for a walk around and a guy came over and got the Dingo's out of their enclosures. The bloody thing just bound up to us and started licking faces, sitting begging for food.
You would have no idea that they weren't just a domestic dog... when they are actually a wolf! I think we've lost all sense of fear, I mean it's not like it was a big tiger or anything...
Back to Perth and we'd booked the pinnacles tour. This was a 12 hour tour, of which we spent 15 mins walking round the pinnacles and 30 mins sand boarding. My ass had gone to sleep before lunch. Never mind, better get used to it, plenty of that to come. The pinnacles are just faloc shaped lime stone formations. They try to tell you they look like all sorts of things like elephants, teeth.... it's all lies. Sand boarding was fun. Amie went up first and I took picks. Absolutely wet my pants when she was laughing, waving and then lost her balance and literally ate sand. Not wise to put on sunscreen just before you have a go. She looked like a sand monster. Hillair. Now this would be fun if you didn't have to walk up the dune for 15 mins, just to get to the top, and then you’re back down in 30 seconds. Hard work I tell
Blow Holes
So pretty! you.
Traveled from Perth to Melbourne via Sydney, stayed in a hostel in Kilder Beach just out of town and fell into bed. Just to be woken up at 3am by some pissed up doughnut touching up my leg. I just sat up and starred at her and she didn't even apologize. Clearly this is acceptable behavior in Victoria?? Spent a few days with my 2nd cousin twice removed (It's an Island thing) who I used to live in London with. It is a farm in the middle of nowhere and very relaxing. About 2 hours outside of Melbourne, was nice to catch up on some sleep and not have to share my bedroom with 9 total strangers, who like to touch you.
Not one to totally relax I decided that we should take the car for a run up Mount Buller, which is a ski resort during the winter. Matt had said that the view up their was pretty good so we went for a spin. Wade behind the wheel, blissfully unaware of what lie ahead, when we run into a heard of sheep trotting up the road. We did wonder why there was a woman standing
The Gap
Could double up as a very good washing machine. on the side of the road waving her arm. There is so much local knowledge that you have to know! The road up their made even my hands sweaty. Doing about 30km hr we made it up there eventually. The view was fantastic, but a complete ghost town. We kept expecting one of us to go missing at any moment and be killed off one by one.
So now I've arrived in Cairns which is fabulously hot, the hostel is the nicest place we stayed by a mile and the people are friendly. So as I've got a nice cold drink waiting for me by the pool, I'll have to sign off. Hope you’re not all too cold...

The adventure continues............
Well girls, looks like you intend to extract every last ounce of fun and excitement out of your trip!! Makes me tired just reading what you are all getting up to. Kirsty, I think you should seriously consider keeping the rather attractive 'blow hole' hairstyle, think it could take over from Vicky Becks as the 'do' to have, plus the potential fun of using the words 'blow' and 'hole' together!! I'll look for some extra strength gel, so you can create the same effect for xmas (or perhaps some putty??) Can't say I like the sound of being touched up by a stranger - without even asking you first!! - how rude!!! Bye for now, eagerly awaiting the next instalment. Give my love to Matt and Andrea if you see them again.(Only 7 weeks to Christmas) Love you to the moon and back xxxxxxxxxx
