Kia Ora from Queenstown.
I have been here for 3 days so far and i head back to Christchruch tomorrow.
But first i will fill you in with my adventures while being here.
In the last blog i was on my way to Wanaka from Franz Joseph, when we arrived at Wanaka, Rangi our bus driver told us to watch out for the Dolphins at 5pm, so (Stipidly i might add) about 10 of us walked down to the lake front in hope of seeing people feeding the Dolphins.
It took us a little while to connect but it was all a joke, and we were dumb enough to believe. How could there be Dolphins in a freash water Lake? and a small lake at that. So we did cop a few comments from Rangi, but all in good Humour.
Lake Wanaka was just a night stopover on the way to Queenstown. On the bus ride to Queenstown, Rangi had two activitiy prizes to award so everyone got thinking on competitions to win these. The first comp was where a person had to get from the front of the bus to the back on one side and to the front on the other side climbing the bus seats, but you were not able to touch the floor, it was made harder by Rangi swerving on the road to make you fall. The other comp was who was the fastest person to eat two slices of bread with no water.
We eventually reached Queenstown at about Midday where Myself and Perci ( a brazilian friend on the bus) took a walk up Mount Queenstown track, My god it was cold.
So far the weather here has been amazing, clear blue skies with little cloud, but the temperature has been freezing and not getting over 3 or 4 degrees during the day and hitting around -5 during night.
On the Monday Perci and Myself arranged a day trip to go Skiing and Snowboarding, we did this at Coronet Peak, with fairly good deals getting full lift passes, gear, boards and boots, return bus passes for $160NZ. I had a ball and so did Perci who had never Skied before but got the hang of it really quickly. And boy did i pull up sore the next day, and not to mention falling on the same spot on my butt 4 times became pretty tender.

This didn't help the next day as Perci and Myself had a full day to the Milford sound. This was an amazing but long day, we caught the bus at 7:45 am and didn't get baack into Queenstown till 8:15 that night, but i was worth it. On the bus trip to the sound we stopped off at various lookouts to take photos. It's really beautiful scenery and massive mountains. When we reached Milford we boarded a boat (with buffet) which went up the fiord to the ocean before turning around and heading back with a stop over the underwater observatory which in my opinion was a little dull.
Sleep was on the agenda once we had got back.
i said my goodbyes to Perci and looked forward to the sleep in, the first on this trip.
Wednesday was just a rest day, i took a little walk up to the gondola and back.
The Next day i took a flight from Queenstown to Christchurch, one of the quickest plane trips I've ever taken, only 30 min, didnt even get above the cloud line. I was in Christchurch for 3 days staying with a friend i had met on the bus. It was nice and relaxing before i had to make my way back down south to Gerladine.

I took the bus on the Monday to Geraldine with Richard where we met up with family and friends. The next day was our Grandad's 90th where we all gathered for lunch, a little bit of comotion at lunch where grandad's brother who is 85 had collapsed and vomited everwhere, but after a while he was back to normal but a little shaken up. The following day it was back on the bus to Christchurch where i stayed the night at an Uncle and Aunts place.
Sadly i had to leave on the Thursday morning, boy it was a long day of travel, i had to fly from Christchurch to Auckland, Auckland to Sydney and then take a Bus from Sydney to Canberra, but i made it.
So this is where i will be for the next 2 months presumably, all the work is around an hours drive from where i am staying.

Well that concludes New Zealand, what a trip to remember, the people, the sights, the experiences and the activities were amazing and im sad to leave. If anyone is ever thinking of going to New Zealand then i hope these two blogs have inspired you, i believe it is a must do, even if you dont do all the stuff i did.

Until next time.....
