The Houseys are on a new adventure. We are RVing! I will admit that I had difficulty sleeping last night. I was going through checklists and trying to figure out what will fit in the vehicle..or not. I suppose it's similar to our first US roadtrip. You don't know what to expect so you try to be proactive. What if this happens, what if I need that, what if that happens...etc. But, we are only traveling in Michigan which close enough to home that we can come home if we need to.

So this morning, Paul and I drove out to General RV in Wixom to pick up our "rig" with much apprehension. This is not a cheap venture if I might say. I think it will be more expensive than our 16 day road trips. The rental fee ticks up with insurance and other related costs. Then they explain that insurance only covers moving accidents by two vehicles. That's great except it's more likely that Paul will make contact with non-moving objects. They tell us that it will be $5,000 for this postage size damage and $10,000 for everything else. We about left without the vehicle right there. They overwhelm you with buttons and knobs and switches and cords and compartments and this and that. Holy crap. I think they give you the introduction to scare off those faint of heart. I had one foot out the door. I almost didn't even see the inside when the guy explained how to empty the crapper. Ewwww. Paul and I looked at each other sizing each other up for who got this job. Come on. Not even a question. He will do it and I will sit back and laugh. We set the rule that there is NO pooping

Meanwhile, we headed back home to load up. Of course, the kids were delighted. Oh, you think I mean just the Housey kids. Every kid in the neighborhood wanted to see. Adults too. It is pretty cool. House on wheels. Houseys on wheels. Our wheels keep getting bigger. Yikes. I think we've reached our limit. The next big challenge is loading your house in to the RV. Back and forth, in and out of the house weaving in and out of all the littles playing jungle gym. We ignored them and continued to load up food, bedding, kitchen gear, fishing gear, camping gear, bikes, bathroom stuff. It took us way longer than we expected. We are on the road now. There is squealing and laughter coming from the back and a calm in the front. We are settling in Alpena tonight for two nights. We will see how the hookups go at the RV park.

Give me a shout out if you got this update in the comments.
