Finally arrived in Hobart, Tasmania, the starting city in my 6 week tour. Nashville to Atlanta to Los Angeles to Sydney, AU to Hobart, Tasmania. In all, the trip was 10,542 miles, with 23 hours flying time, 8 hours layover time for a total of 31 hours. Took off from Nashville at 4pm on Thursday and landed in Hobart at 4pm Saturday. And, I never saw Friday. Was there something big that happened in Washington, DC on Friday, a day that wasn't on my calendar?
We have a group of 10 for this portion of the trip, from Boston, California, Pennsylvania, New York, and of course, Tennessee. Had a very nice welcome dinner at a local restaurant.
I have attached two pictures I took at the Sydney airport. Well, Krispy Kreme seems to be everywhere. Also, an ocean view from our evening restaurant.
Now to bed. I am really tired!
